"Small but fascinating. I went while I was visiting the University for other reasons and the staff were delightful. I actually learned a lot even though I've dabbled in ento before. Having the experts' offices just right there made them accessible and it meant getting to hear things from staff who are truly interested in the subject matter."
"Super fun looking at different types of bugs! We were able to touch their bugs. Which was super cool! They were super friendly too! It's not your stereotypical museum. It's more of an archive of their bugs that they have to pull out. I highly recommend coming here! My toddler loved it!"
"Eclectic little (as in tiny) place. Several live specimens that the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to tell you about. Racks and racks of trayed samples for the more serious. Open Tuesday afternoons and an hour is plenty!"
"Interesting little museum for insect and bug enthusiasts. They have live insects that you could hold, if you ask. There's a bin with tarantula molts that you can pick up and feel. You can see insectivorous plants (look but don't touch). There's a small gift shop section. The biggest section is their specimens that are available to researchers (not for the general public). Even if you stop by when the museum is closed, there are interesting exhibits in the hallway outside the museum."
"What a great and interesting place! Professor Tabitha graciously welcomed us in and pulled shelves upon shelves of butterflies, from monarchs to morphos, to beetles and other bugs. Also taught us about black widows, how they are scared of people and have sticky recognizable webs. And got to handle a bunch of stick and leaf bugs with our hands! Super cool, great for kids and adults"
