Reviews of Old Town San Diego
"Beautiful and a must go when visiting San Diego. Rich in culture, and beautiful shops. The food here is some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. Casa de Reyes is a gorgeous patio restaurant that has an atmosphere that transports you to a tropical paradise. The staff is beautiful and professional."
"The area that it covers is really expansive overall when compared to other cities' historic districts (Santa Fe, NM, Taos, NM, for example). If you want to get your Mexican 'curio kick' taken care of without having to cross the border, there are plenty of stalls to select from including specific specialty shops such as Peruvian imports, quite a nice gem & mineral shop, haberdashies, copper importation specialties, etc. There is a park within the area and even a golf course just outside of the boundary! The area is well kept with various native and imported (?) vegetation. The graveyard was especially poignant."
"Very nice place for a walk. Old town contains building from 1854, at least the Adobe buildings are still alive after the fire all the wooden buildings were reconstructed. A lot of museums and places to eat."
"A Little quiet at this time of year on a Monday which makes it easy to see but not so much going on. Some exhibits were not open and there's less activity in the streets. The Christmas decorations add a lot to the festival atmosphere. Definitely worth a trip. Set aside two to three hours including lunch or dinner. Super friendly people and great for families!"
"Old Town feels like stepping into a historic Hispanic town or a Western film set. It boasts a charming ambiance that transports you to another time. The presence of restaurants and a small stage adds to the allure. This place offers a unique and delightful experience, making it perfect for those seeking a taste of history and a touch of nostalgia. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Old Town's atmosphere is something you won't want to miss"
