Reviews of Madrona Marsh Preserve and Nature Center
"Free entry, gift shop, with some other things to see. Plenty of parking most days. Closed on Sundays. Lots of birds for bird enthusiasts. Volunteer opportunities for kids and adults."
"After the rain the Marsh was full and so many creatures were about. Such fun!"
"A wonderful - and much needed - oasis in the jungle. This is a great place to decompress, breathe, and center one's soul. You forget you're in the middle of Torrance. Enjoy it while you can, because it has greatly-shrunk from the size it was when I used to come as a child. Hopefully they save what's left for our future residents to enjoy. Walk slowly, listen carefully, watch for the birds and small animals, take photos, exercise those legs, and - most of all - leave feeling better about life."
"I enjoyed being here very much! You can walk around inside the marsh and enjoy the view of the wildlife, (which is to be respected and left alone) on a small trail that takes you around in a loop. Some areas are marked off, so you have to go around them. I hear you can hear frogs at night from the staff. They do give you a small little tour, inside their building, which feels like a small museum. You can read about the wildlife on their signs, and I feel it's good for anyone, especially kids!"
"A very nice place to spend your morning walk at. Quiet and peaceful with a lot of trees and flowers. We saw some ducks, geese, hummingbirds and red robins. We spent about an hour there. Kid friendly. A lot of parking spaces (we got there at around 10am). Nice staffs and it's FREE. Closed on Sundays and Mondays."
