"Similar to other reviews, I wished that I did more thorough research before booking. Elite Inn is located at Turk Street which is within the tenderloin hood that as researched, is the “containment zone” for the homeless in San Fran. Right outside Elite Inn are public portable restrooms that the homeless go to wash up. There were homeless people down the streets using and dealing drugs, as well as defacating in public. I was hypervigilant throughout the trip which made me feel unsafe. While I wish that more resources are available for the homeless, Elite Inn is not what you are looking for if you hope for a restful holiday. Generally, the homeless are more preoccupied with themselves and would not bother you even if they are shouting in the streets. Nonetheless, if you can afford to pay more, please just look for somewhere else. The room is also definitely darker than what the pictures show online. The bathrooms are shared with others, which is what you can expect at hostel stays for the same prices so you really pay for what you get. There is a microwave and refrigerator but no hot water."

"Value for Money. Located close to Powell metro station. Was staying in a room with private bathroom. Cleaning service is everyday. Toilet and shower was clean. There is no lift in the hotel and is located on 1st and 2nd floor of the building. You need to ring the bell next to the entry door on ground floor to get access to the hotel. The ring bell is white button next to the metal gate door at the entry. Wifi internet is included in price and works very well."
