"My experience at Los Robles Radiology was horrendous. I went there for a shoulder MRI with an Arthrogram injection into my shoulder joint. I had developed extreme pain in my right shoulder and had had two prior shoulder surgeries and a history of extreme pain when having any injections into my shoulder joint. I went to Los Robles because they were the only local facility that was able to provide sedation that I needed during the Arthrogram injection given my prior history. When making the appointment in person at the hospital weeks before, I was assured by the radiologist (via the front office staff) that they could and would provide sedation prior to the injection given my history, even though it was not usually necessary. When I arrived for my appointment, the radiologist (Aaron Reposar MD) informed me that they would not provide sedation despite my prior arrangements and pain history. He insisted it wasn't necessary and the Arthrogram was then performed with no sedation causing me to suffer extreme pain for the more than 30 minute procedure, despite my screaming and continued requests for pain relieving sedation. I continued to be in pain after the injection and had to wait almost 30 minutes for the MRI, well beyond the scheduled time. The MRI was performed by two technicians, one of which had a cold and was coughing constantly while in close contact and touch with me. After the MRI, I was unbelievably told that the images did not turn out well but that they could not be redone unless I made another appointment. When I saw my orthopedic surgeon I was also told that the MRI images were poor and did not provide sufficient information to diagnose my condition. The entire visit was an extremely painful, useless nightmare that couldn't have been conducted more poorly."
