The Crooked Quarter
About the Business
The Crooked Quarter is a unique clothing store located at 113 East Grove Street in Caledonia, Minnesota, United States. Our boutique offers a mix of modern and retro styles, as well as a variety of homemade gifts that are sure to catch your eye.
The building has a rich history, originally purchased in 1892 by Valentine Hosch and later passed down to his brother Anton Hosch. The building was once known as Hosch's Tavern, with the back area serving as a livery for Hosch's horses. Over the years, the building has been used as a blacksmith shop and auto mechanics garage.
In 2022, the building was purchased by Lee and Elsie Babler, along with Tamiko Hubka Steele. Tamiko now operates her salon, Tamiko's Salon, in the tavern, while The Crooked Quarter occupies the livery space. The building also features three vacation rental apartments above the salon.
Visit us at The Crooked Quarter for a constantly changing collection of boutique clothing, handmade gifts, and local souvenirs. "Stopped in last weekend and I was very impressed! Cute selection of antiques and clothes. The tops were all very adorable and I couldn't leave without at least getting one."
