"Rooms were spacious, but seemed a bit dated. A King room with a Balcony? Not really, the Balcony extends maybe 18" past the sliding door. Workout facility and swimming pool are nice."

"My boyfriend had gotten us a room here after a nonstop 22 hour car ride down here so we just wanted to be able to shower and go straight to bed but instead I had to clean your guys’ shower because it was dirty when we got there. We also paid a pet fee for our dog which I find funny because I wouldn’t even let a dog on that floor. We had sheets and towels but nothing was wiped down or vacuumed AT ALL. So much money wasted. I was tired and pissed! How in the hell is this acceptable for a Marriott? I’ve stayed at so many and never had this happen."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. They had a nice lounge for platinum and up members which really made me feel like an elite member, with complimentary snacks in there & a nice area to just be. The pool and the tables near it were just awesome! Grabbed food from the den and just relaxed there, loved it. Would come back here if I could. Staff is great."

"The room is clean and bed is comfortable, that is the one star coming from. However, this hotel has poor room management, they placed my family in the room around hotel rooms for the group of wedding guests. They are super noisy and hotel room wall are not sound isolated very well, you won't have a good sleep if you have noisy neighbors. Please thinking about it before you book this hotel. Also I got double charging in parking (not even mentioning the expensive daily parking), and the errors stay even after couple of calling to billing department and front desk. Please check your statement immediately when you do check-out."

"I had a pleasant stay at San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. The staff is exceptional. I arrived five hours early and asked if I could park my car and check in after returning from a vision procedure. Evan was exceedingly professional, accommodating, and kind. Instead of just letting me park, he checked me in early to a room that still met my preferences (high floor and quiet) without me asking. The room was very clean with a great view and balcony. The breakfast staff, especially Jessica, were all welcoming and attentive, and they graciously accommodated my dietary request. Dina, the porter, was incredibly personable. Although I wasn’t able to take advantage of the pool area, it was attractive and inviting. Slight inconveniences: the mini fridge didn’t seem to function, self-parking was pricey at $34, and onsite leaf blowing started around 5:50 AM. Nevertheless, I do recommend a stay here."
