"I’ve been to this salon and have seen three different stylists, Silas, Leah, and McKenna. Never once have I had a bad experience here, and they are all so incredible! Just recently I drove down from Stevens Point for a long overdue cut. McKenna knocked it out of the park and transformed my hair. She made me feel welcomed and went above and beyond in getting me the right hair cut. "I was in Madison just last weekend, for a wedding. I usually wear my hair in its natural state, however I had it straightened for the wedding I attended and of course, the Dallas humidity got to my hair before I even arrived in Wisconsin. I was walking around and attempting to see if anyone would take a walk-in to touch up my hair because no one I was with had a straightener. I came to Love+Light Hairdressing and honestly my experience was indescribable. There are no words to truly uphold the time I spent in Marie’s chair, but I’ll do my best to share this memorable moment. Upon entering Marie’s salon, it was unlike any other salon I’ve entered. Marie’s salon is more than welcoming, it’s calming, it’s soothing, it’s homey. Marie’s salon is truly a place for anyone and everyone. Marie is personable. Not only did she take me as a walk-in at the very last minute, she made it an appoint to let me know she has experience with black hair and shared about her life, her goals and what she wants out of her salon for others. Marie was so selfish, she sent me on my way with products and a tool, so that I didn’t have to worry about my hair the rest of the weekend! I was so taken back from that the fact that Marie didn’t hesitate to go beyond the extra mile to help me, as she genuinely cared for me in that moment. I am not sure if I will ever see Marie again, but I do know that she and her team put others before themselves. If I’m going to advise anyone to entrust someone with their hair, it’s Marie. I wish I lived in Wisconsin, so she could be hairstylist 24/7! To the person(s) reading this review, Love+Light Hairdressing will not let you down! "I had a consult with Leah, followed a few days later by an appointment for a cut. A consult is something I haven't done before, and I like how they have that as an option since I was unsure what I wanted to do. She is very knowledgeable about managing wavy and curly hair, and spent time during my appointment giving me tips on how to manage my hair type. She recommended products, but also didn't pressure me into a sale. I WILL be back."
