"The room is big enough and has a table, chair, bed, stove, tv, sink, dishwasher, tv. The condition was not new, but it wasn't nasty. If staying here I would recommend bringing your own hygiene items and towels, washcloths. The shower wasn't big, and the water stayed hot as long as I wanted it to. I didn't feel like I wanted to soak in the tub, which was a negative for me because I like things a bit more sanitary if given a choice. I did choose a smoking room which is commonly more worn. I spotted several roaches but none got in my backpack, thank God. The pool is closed because they don't have anyone to maintain it which is also unfortunate and looks like it'll take a couple hours to clean it up and get it useable. And the main negative is there is a no guest policy and I was asked alot of questions and given strict warning to not be having guests without them being checked in initially which is inconvenient because plans changed. The weekly rate is reasonable at only $500 for 7 days, but the no guest policy and the unexpected roommates (roaches) made me just stick to the one night. The location is such a close proximity to my work that I will probably give it another go here, but first I will check the other hotels in the area. I would expect to pay $65-$80 a night for a room like this so at $108 a night I expected a little more clean and therefore my rating is 3 starts generously. But the peace and quiet was great, and the stores are just across the street. Yes if the price was 30% lower I would come here often, but as-is I'll continue my search. Thank you Golden Bear for you service and hospitality, maybe next time there will be grounds for an improved rating."

"Rooms not clean at all... Really dirty and disgusting. Bathroom not even mopped dried on pee on the floor. Bedrail filled with filth and sheets and blankets had hair, I'm sure they are not washed at all. I would not go here. Health department needs to investigate the filth here. I'm sure they would definitely shut them down once they see any room at this location. People were nice but no attention to the rooms they are renting out.. I think the people who gave good reviews were friends of the place or drug addicts that didn't care where they slept. I highly recommend not staying here."

"I paid for two days. I woke up with bites all over my body after 4 hours of sleep. And I found a bed bug in the bed. I was only refunded for the night I did not stay. I had to call the police to get a receipt. She was very rude. The health department needs to pay them a visit."

"Very good place to stop and rest if you have children. Nice and clean. Receptionists was on her job not just out of the office. $20 deposit got back no questions, no problems it was good."

"The room was a lot nicer than I expected. It looks very clean and it was comfortable and at a reasonable price. However, heater runs too loud and didn't like train sound. No fridge, and microwave. Most of all there's small cockroaches are all over the floor."
