Brookhurst Plaza Inn

"When we arrived, the girl at the front desk was very friendly and got us checked in quickly, we noted we did not want maid service like the sign at the desk said to. Once in the room, we were met with a clean room with a jacuzzi tub. The AC unit was very loud but I like noise when I sleep so that was fine. The water pressure in the shower was horrible but the water stayed hot for a long time. When we tried to go back down the elevator to collect our stuff from the car it was randomly not working (despite working about 20 minutes prior), so we had to take the stairs. The breakfast was skimpy: apples, bananas, little boxes of single serve cereal and cartons of milk, pastries and coffee."

"The door lock was missing screws. Also, would have to push the door hard to close it. The beds were ok for the price although the pillows are not great. The carpet and fixtures are old. I guess time for a renovation is due. Breakfast is not what you would expect, really really basic for the price. People are nice."

"This banquet has had a lot of renovations. Looks great! Kind of small now that I look at it but definitely gorgeous when decorated. Bartender is always great! FYI - if you're attending a party here and have little ones there are NO STROLLERS allowed. Plenty of parking. Restroom is the only downfall. Only 2 stalls. Other than that it's a great location for any formal event."
