Reviews of Hotel Fera Anaheim, a DoubleTree by Hilton
"So i would say the hotel I was given was stunning - I was all set to provide a full positive review until I arrived home the next morning and checked my bank statements, I repeat if you stay here be sure to check your BANK STATEMENTS!! I noticed extra charges from the hotel outside of the valet which would have been the only charging since I paid for the hotel in full a month ago. When I called First lady informed me I would have to call back at 9am and speak to finances to dispute any charges and it looks like they charged me for both bottle waters ( which I made a point to not touch seeing that they were $4 and I can purchase my own for that price) another charge was an extra valet charge of $35 - I called back a little after 9 and the Second Lady laughed as if my charges I wanted to dispute weren't necessary but informed me Tera or Tracy in finance would be in and got me transferred- no answer left vm - ( this was Monday - still no cal back and it's Friday ) - I did call back a few hours later and spoke to a new person at the front desk. He stated he would reimburse me for the $8 ( bottle water charge) but for the $35 it wasn't an actual charge that they do a deposit the night you arrive for valet before they do the final charge at the end of your stay. I am waiting to see this fall off my bank statements but hasn't. The $8 has already went through. Be mindful that reviews you leave for this hotel are simply to help others from walking into the same trap, I did notice the same automated generic apology response for everyone, nothing is done and nothing much goes into it, unless you call and try and take action. I was planning on doing a full positive review for this hotel until check out when I realized the hotel was charging me for items and things I should have not been charged for and doing nothing about it. I will most likely dispute these charges with my bank seeing the hotel doesn't look like they will do anything about it. Disappointing."
"I am currently still staying at Hotel Fera Anaheim and already write a review just to warn you: If you like it nice and quiet, do not come here!!! The rooms are built in a way so you feel like the room neighbors next to you are just behind a thin layer of paper, you literally Hear every cough, sneeze or word from them or their TV, evey crying kid and every toilet flush your neighbor does. Its super LOUD - ! Also the windows are not isolated so you hear all cars and sirens all the time. If you like your privacy or to sleep quite, this is not the place for you. I am missing my sleep and that is very frustrating. I might as well get a dorm room in a hostel... The receptionist knows about this problem but they can not do a thing about it obviously... On the weekend here was a big team conference, so it was loud with people after 1am and the parking lot (which we paid for) was so full, we had to use another parking garage close by. Also disneyland is close by so you will hear a lot if kids screaming and the get up super early to go to the theme park) Especially for the high price I expected more from Hilton. They even charge you 15 dollars per day for Wifi Internet, i guess they haven't heard yet, that even cheap Hotels offer it complimentary since many years. Feel like anno 2011 here. The parking cost another 30 dollers per day. The rooms are clean, nothing special, a welcome water potter is only for members, otherwise 4 dollars for a small bottle. You get e free cookie full of sugar when you arrive. The beds are clean and comfortable, but its so loud, that is canceling it out for me. The shower is wired but works ok. Water is warm. When i checked in my soap was empty, I had to call & room service brought new one. Overall a more disappointing experience, I could see better ways to spend 1000 dollars in 5 days... Can not recommend this hotel and wont come back."
"This was an overall very good stay. I would like to recognize some of team members Seth, Jessica, Claudia, Sergio Betty, Rain, Luis and the two ladies at the offee (starbucks). These employees gave great service and was a pleasure to speak with. There was an issue with the room, that was taken care of within an hour. Thank you all! George and Fern needs to go back and be trained on customer service. Overall I would return to this hotel."
"We stayed one night before heading into Disneyland. Every single person working was friendly and polite. There were no stuffy attitudes. The fan that's part of the heating and cooling can be set to run all night. The room was large, beds and chairs comfortable. A groovy coffee shop in the lobby. Also a bar and a restaurant that makes hearty food that tastes good."
"Had a great experience staying this weekend at this hotel. The rooms were extremely clean, very modern and new. We stayed for a Disneyland vacation and used the ART bus to travel to and from the hotel. The restaurant below was also very nice to eat at. The hotels service was also very nice in letting us check in a bit earlier, getting us help on utilizing the ART bus and just being friendly. I would stay here again or recommend."
