"I made my appointment 2 days before my birthday to get my hair cut and dyed, I showed up 5 minutes early and the doors were locked and it had a number to call. So, I called the number and waited. Called a few more times, and waited. Nobody ever showed up, nobody answered my calls or texts, and nobody notified me that my appointment was canceled or anything. Called around and everywhere near me is booked until after my birthday. Thanks for the disappointment."

"I took my 13 year old daughter to get her hair colored for the first time (purple) and she left it 3 different colors (orange, pink and purple. After the second day all the color came off and she was left with orange hair! My brother took her in a second time and she did the same thing except this time she gave my daughter a hair cut after my daughter told her no she insisted on giving her one. This was days before picture day at school so since her hair color came off a second time I took her to Walgreens to get a box to dye her hair and it came out way better than Maria's Hair Salon."

"First time going there. Maria was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. She did to a T what I asked her to do and did it amazingly. I had my hair faded, cut, and bleached she did a great job with all three. Well worth my money would recommend"

"I get my hair cut and shaved weekly due to the fact I work in a large customer service atmosphere. Maria has not been my life long barber I happened to stumble upon her shop and was in the process off searching for a new barber. I also tried 3 other places and I’ve been getting my haircut from strictly Maria for almost 1 full year. She gives exceptional service, takes appointments, offers hot towel beard shaves, performed with a straight razor which is not the easiest service to find in Racine. Maria is extremely polite and I’m pretty picky so how she performs her haircuts and the attention to detail she takes is more than I could ask for. It’s hurts so much to see when people leave one incredibly bad review for a small business. It’s hard for me to believe she gave a haircut that matches that review but it is possible, however hair even men’s does have to be maintained especially if you want a particular style which requires at the very minimum 2 hair cuts a month. I get a double zero shadow fade and I slick my hair back on top. I also receive a hot towel beard shave. Ladies and gentlemen if you are wanting to have best look out of you hair this is the salon to go to."

"I went to her salon to get my hair trimmed and she even did a shampoo which I wasn't expecting she did a really good job and would love to get other things done to my hair next time she is the best. She is a really friendly lady and she gives the best service when it comes to hair. If you don't like your hair cut then maybe you should just keep ut long so no one can complain..... but I highly recommend her."
