"I recently had such a horrific and disappointing experience at this property and I will never return. Check-in staff at night tried to charge me close to twice the rate posted on the internet. When challenged about that, the staff became even ruder. This Pendry is a property that I had stayed at with varying levels of satisfaction in the past few months. I’m not sure I’ve dealt with ruder hotel staff than this last visit. I travel often and stay at 4-5 star properties 1-2 days per week. I will never return or recommend this property, which is a shame. Other Pendry properties do it well. The problems are particularly glaring and especially odd given that the founder is on site almost daily. Staffing and service is a MAJOR issue. This is a location that is hurting the brand. Skip it."

"Love the hotel, its location and the service provided by their ever attentive and courteous team of service professionals in all areas (Front Office, Restaurant/F & B outlets and Rooms). The view in my room of Orange County and Newport Beach both day and night are spectacular. A must visit hotel destination for both business and leisure. Will definitely be back with my wife and daughter."

"Every part of our stay was fantastic!! From the time you pull up till the time you leave the service and attention to detail was fantastic. We were worried about brining kids and they made us feel right at home and even had some stuffed animals to pick out. Highly recommend!!"

"Warm and sincerely friendly service. A nice change after Miami. They have a unique phone valet parking system, so our car was already there by the time we got to the lobby. The food was amazing, but the portions were so large we found we could have split each dish. The duck was simply the best we ever had other than one time un China. At the lobby bar earlier the bartender miss heard the order but quickly replaced it. Oh yes, and we had lovely drinks at the pool bar earlier, again with great service. The room had a great seating area, a huge TV, a comfortable work station, and a glitzy bathroom with the walk-in shower we prefer. Perfect for the purpose of our business trip."

"Beautiful remodel complete! Looks amazing! Wonderful Bar Pendry and SET Steak & Sushi (make reservations in advance) is worth the visit even if you are not a guest of the hotel. Business leaders check out the Elwood Club and become a member."
