"I'm incredibly grateful for the team at First Impressions. Dr. Mark and Judy are so patient with my 4 year old who is non verbal/Autistic. My daughter went in the back by herself, and they were able to get x-rays and do her routine cleaning and exam. She did amazing, and I was so proud. I think she was pretty proud of herself too. I would absolutely recommend First Impressions for anyone seeking Dental care for their child."
"Our family loves it here! Our son always feels at ease when visiting his dentist. The staff is top notch and go out of their way to take of you and your child. Amazing staff!"
"My son has Down syndrome and very sensory seeking. He is definitely not an easy patient when it comes to the dentist. The folks at first impressions do an incredible job with him! Our latest visit they were even able to get X-rays! I could cry. I’m so grateful to the team and their patience with my sweet kiddo."
"Absolutely abysmal customer service. Somehow I was able to take my foster child in for their first appointment 6 months ago, where I was treated like an actual human being and given basic respect, and I scheduled a second appointment after having my case worker call in to confirm the validity of my status as the foster parent. As our second appointment came up, the previous foster parent forwarded me multiple emails from the dentist addressed to them (after I had changed all contact info to me). I called to verify and was rudely told they wouldn’t talk to me without change of placement paperwork. I gathered all documentation and brought it with me to the appointment, which was 35 minutes away, and the same woman I was dismissed by on the phone was at the front desk. I handed over all the legal documents I had and she told me none of it was applicable as it wasn’t a direct order signed by the judge (she stated electronic signatures were not able to be considered). When I asked how I had been allowed to bring my child in previously AND schedule the follow up appointment, she smirked and said “that person clearly didn’t follow protocol and is no longer employed here.” I was pretty distraught that I was being discredited so blatantly and with no empathy or compassion. I noticed her continue to grin and even give a little laugh as I struggled to get my paperwork back in order, gather my child and leave. She made a final point to tell me she was very well-versed in reading court documents, and suggested I return when I had the right ones. I’m all for following the rules, but when legally submitted court documents aren’t accepted because they’re only electronically signed, and when I’ve clearly been in before with the same child, even an ounce of kindness, understanding, and willingness to find a solution so my child can get the necessary dental work done would have been appreciated. I felt very dismissed, talked down to, humiliated, and ultimately helpless as I was unable to obtain necessary care for my child."
"Here are the facts. I called for an appointment that required a procedure for our 5 year old son, I was very specific when booking the appointment as I know their "policy" is that children go alone and practice independence. I said due to the procedure having gas, potential for nerve damage control and other things being done, I wanted to be in the room with him. She told me they would be open to that. Come today, we showed up, checked in and I then verified that I wanted to be back there with him (again). They said they would talk to the doctor. I was then taken back into a room to discuss questions I had. I didn't have any.. She said well our policy doesn't allow for you to be with your child. After explaining I was uncomfortable, they told me that I could then go see another dentist for a second opinion and preferred we do that if we are not comfortable. My son then decided he was ok with going back by himself and they showed me the room to see if I was then comfortable... again, I was not. They told us they did not want to do the procedure anymore. I reiterated to them, we can continue this, but I have to be in the room. They would rather a parent not be in the room than to do the right thing and care for the patient. It is so strange to me that this is a practice that does not allow for a guardian (paying and signing for the minor) allowed to see and comfort their 5 year old child.... So odd... Do no recommend, rather find someone else."
