"I was in town for a special event and wanted a simple wash and blowout. The stylist talked to me like I was five years old: I’m going to wash and condition your hair first, okayyyy? I’m going to blow dry your hair now, okayyy? She asked me if I wanted the ends flipped out. I said no, my hair does that on its own but I don’t like it, I want it straight. She proceeded to blow it with the ends flipped out and I didn’t know until she was done because she had me facing away from the mirror the whole time. Then I said again I didn’t want the ends flipped and could she flat iron it. She couldn’t find a flat iron. In a hair salon. She asked someone else (manager?) for one, and they didn’t know. At this point I’d been there for 30 minutes. She told the other person she was borrowing another stylist’s personal flat iron. Then she finally flat ironed the flip that she should have avoided in the first place. I’m going to make your hair straight, okayyy? Yes. Please. Wish I would have saved my time and money and just done it myself."
