"My wife tried to make an appointment through the website for our two year old daughter's first hair cut and had a rough time navigating it. She noticed they allow walk-ins, so we walked in and were told to sit down. No questions were asked. After about 10 minutes of waiting for the single stylist to wrap up, another group came in and talked to the receptionist. After they sat, the receptionist asks us when our appointment was, and we said we didn't have one. We were told we would have to make an appointment directly with the stylist. At this point, my toddler started crying as we told her she would not be getting her hair cut there. I think this was just a terrible way of handling things and will not be returning, despite the several recommendations for this place."

I've gone in there at times with no more ideas as to what I want beyond "short" and Laura always comes up with something flattering that I love. The salon is clean and they have a nice variety of products for many hair types. They offer many different services, all at reasonable prices."

Patrons range from children to the elderly and everyone is treated with friendliness and respect. I have been a satisfied customer since 2005. Scott has always listened to my hair concerns and has been very helpful in guiding my style choices. He is truly interested in his clientele and I consider him both my friend and my stylist. I witness similar relationships with the other stylists and their customers. I am confident that when I enter the salon that I will leave feeling refreshed and happy with my haircut and style! I feel lucky to have found Directions in Design!"

"I have been going to DID and following Laura Singer for 30 years. The Salon is a great place and everyone is friendly. Laura has done an amazing job over the years and is and excellent colorist and stylist. She knows how to cut long hair and style it. She also understands curly hair like I have and I always leave feeling great and looking my best. I like the fact that they offer some great products like the Vinyllux brand for Nail polish and it does last 2+ weeks. I love that it is no fuss/muss and I can actually have polish that lasts and doesn't peal off."
