"To label this place, a zoo is a far reach!!! We were visiting from out of town and asked Google for a zoo. Going there, we were prepared to walk and need drinks and a stroller/wagon for the little ones! NONE of that was needed. It was a longer walk from the parking lot to the front gate than around the entire animal site! We made the most of it but would not recommend spending the time or money to go there. They had a very small playground that my little ones played on for a little bit. We saw 6 animals.....tiger, eagle, 2 lemurs, some sort of small rodents, and birds!!!! It took 10 minutes or less to walk the small enclosed circle."
"Enjoyed my first visit. I was a little bummed to see multiple exhibits closed. I really enjoyed the Aviary. That was pretty cool. Go early on a weekday, and you can practically enjoy the zoo all to yourself."
"It's a zoo and more...the park is amazing,so much space. Lots of trees and shade. Picnic tables everywhere and jungle gyms for the little ones. The zoo is within the park. It's tiny and cute,it's a soothing calm zoo. It wasn't full when we came(Thursday morning) you see between 10 and 15 animals. There is no food available or a little store to buy trinkets and stuff. It's great for Littles if you can keep them calm and somewhat quiet."
"Very nice little Zoo at a great price. Spent there about 90 minutes and barely felt it. Went there early and it wasn't crowded and most animals were active. I did miss the Snow Leopard so I think we'll come back at a later date. Definitely worth checking out."
"Finest park in San Joaquin County. Nicely maintained. Fantastic old oak trees provide lots of shade. Picnic areas for every size gathering. Wonderful place for children. Best of all ~ dogs on leash are allowed. (Reminder: Keep it beautiful by picking up your trash & dog waste.)"
