"Awesome, tons of egrets and herons, including babies. The road directly in front of the trees is closed April-October, which I assume is the nesting season. There's no actual park or anything, just some trees."
"Lots of Great egrets, snowy egrets, and night herons. The section is closed for vehicles, but open to bikers and pedestrians from May to September."
"Lots of activity with many Great Egrets and Black Crowned Night Herons in the nest building process. Many birds are flying in with twigs. Even saw some mating activity. Went on weekend while no one is working. No traffic and easy parking."
"I have been birding in this area for several years. My recent visit to Shoreline entering from San Antonio Road I met another birder that shared this gem. I was not disappointed with my visit the sight and sounds were incredible. If you get an opportunity check it out."
"I have been here a few times in the last week and it is amazing to have a wildlife habitat / nesting area so close to technology. If you are a photographer or are into birding there can be some fantastic viewing moments. More zoom on your camera, the better. I use 300mm and wish I had a little more. The best part is during nesting season the street is closed to cars, so as someone with a viewing scope you don't have to worry about cars ( just bicycles). Parking is plentiful & available in the Google lots ( if you go on weekends or evenings. Got some pics of Snowy Egrets, Great Egrets, Night Heron, and the infamous crows. Today 7/15/18, the Santa Clara Valley Audobon Society had volunteer docents educating the public about the egrets and their nesting habitat."
