"I enjoy this place but the remodeling leaves me with a sterile environment. But people are friendly. Bathroom needed more counter space. Shower was fine but no place for razor or place to hang washcloth. Would like more artwork and didn’t like open area near refrigerator and microwave. Needed tv guide in room. But I do like it! Just some ideas."
"One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in awhile! The receptionist who was at the door to check me in was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. Even gave me recommendations on where to eat! Rooms were spotless and no issues with outside lights. The Tv unfortunately wasn’t working but that didn’t matter too me since I don’t watch tv much anymore. Would recommend this!"
"The experience my wife and I had here was fantastic. It was a very cute and quaint motel. I read some of the bad reviews on here and I disagree with them. You can tell that the property is maintained very well. Bathrooms,floors,towels and beds were very clean. Really nice inside and out."
"It’s a quiet little hotel that is walking distance from downtown and Linns and a great little coffee place basically next door. Front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming as I was a walk in reservation. Will stay here again during my next Cambria weekend getaway"
"Don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep! Rude morning staff! Room was clean and in the center of town, but if you stay on the bottom floor, you will hear EVERYTHING above you and will think that bigfoot is there because every footstep is LOUD. Upstairs neighbors got up at 6 AM and were clomping about all morning. They finally left and housekeeping shows up at 9 AM, making a racket and vacuuming. I tried calling the front desk 3 times, only for the phone to ring and ring and ring. Finally, I had to get dressed and walk over to the front desk, where I was very upset and explained that I only had one night here, was recovering from an injury, and just wanted some sleep. She said "Well, I've been here all morning and I haven't heard the phone ring." So basically, calling me a liar. As if I would have preferred to get out of bed, get dressed, and walk over to the lobby??? "Well housekeeping has only been here since 9, so you couldn't have heard them before that." "Well it is an old building". No sympathy, no "I'm sorry for the inconvenience", nothing. She was haughty and dismissive. Finally she said, "If you were here more than one night, I could move you, but since you're leaving today, I don't know what you want me to do for you." Wow. How about offering a late checkout so I could rest a little longer, and telling the housekeepers to stop cleaning above my room? Then maybe take a customer service class and tell your housekeeping not to start cleaning until later going forward? What I'd hoped would be a restful sanctuary was anything but. So disappointed. I just told her "Thanks for nothing" and left. Then, even though checkout was 11 AM, and I clearly had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door, housekeeping started knocking on MY door at 10:30 to start cleaning. This place is poorly run."
