"Terribly understaffed and the few staff who are available seem to be tremendously overworked and therefore rude/unhelpful. Many of the people waiting were older and/or non-English speaking and the only way to check in was via a digital kiosk because the front desk isn't staffed regularly. When some of these older people were trying to ask for assistance, they were ignored or talked to condescendingly. Despite the Spanish and Korean signage (reflecting that the locations KNOWS much of the patient population is non-English fluent), there was little to no help for these people."
"First there was no information provided to email the order. I had had major cardiac surgery and couldn’t walk easily on my own to have my blood drawn. I stated i was very weak, and she said my friend who accompanied me couldn’t help me walk in. I said “will you catch me if I start to fall “ her curt reply was “don’t be rude.“ Then she had me go back to the waiting room and email … which we did. she said it would be 10 to 20 minutes. 40 minutes later she said the email hadn’t come through. I politely asked her to check if it was correct. What a mess. Both of the people attending lacked courtesy to the patients, not just customer service, common kindness and courtesy. I said nothing about being a physician and that my friend was also a physician until the end of the encounter to say that the blood draw for culture could now not happen because they were then going to close and there wasn’t enough time. Horrid attitudes at that office that i witnessed with lack of attention to other patients in Spanish as well. Obviously Quest Diagnostics needs to address having classes in dignity and patient care with human resources, or put them in a lab."
"This place is the worst! Don't come if you have a better place to visit. Nurses are so rude to old people who not native speakers. When I was waiting for my turn. Nurses always yelled at old people. Location is: 500 Virgil Ave, Los Angeles CA"
"Went in sent by my doctor, I arrived about noon time. In the whole time I was there these nurses would only call people with appointments which is understandable, but what’s NOT is that whenever their appointments would not be present they DID NOT bother to call walk-ins, not even at the last hour when their last patient was at 405 the ret of us waiting were looking at the time go by and not being called and when I got up to ask the nurse why we were not being called she said NOT to bother her. That is horrible service because even if we did not had an appointment and I walked in since noon time I think a fair chance is an ablation, you can be a nurse but DO NOT forget your still in customer service and their customer service is beyond horrible. 4 of us walked out of there with just we are not seeing anyone is not my problem you did y make an appointment is what we were told. I feel as a nurse you need better training and if you hate the job you do, you should consider taking time off or changing carriers because some of us probably cannot offer to take time off our jobs."
"0 stars. They don't even have a receptionist at this place, just a tablet to check in, and the instructions are not clear. A lot of people seemed to be having trouble, but there's no one to help you. We arrived only 3 minutes after our appointment time due to traffic. We checked in on their tablet which is serving as a "receptionist" and waited over 40 minutes, only to be denied service. We saw that people who arrived after us were being seen rather quickly, so I tried to get someone's attention. Like I said, there's no receptionist, so you have to try to bother one of the employees who pops into the room to call your name. I said that we had an appointment and we've been waiting for a while. She said "did you check in?" and I said yes, then she said "is his name on the screen?" and pointed to this large TV screen with a big ad on it. When his name didn't come up, she said, in a very rude and condescending tone, "Nope, he's not on there. he didn't check in. you have to check in again." I had to keep trying to get her attention to continue the conversation because she was trying to brush me off. Eventually she was raising her voice at me and saying "I DON't WANT TO ARGUE." Of course when we went to check in again, it was too long past the appointment time and it said he didn't have an appointment. Even though we literally went through the whole check-in process when we arrived, and he had a record of his appointment. Imagine how frustrating it is to be told that he didn't check in, and that now he basically lost the appointment, when we did check in 40 minutes prior and have been waiting the entire time. She then claimed that she had called his name but he wasn't here. Who knows if that's even true? But regardless, I said that I didn't know they had a policy that if you're even a few minutes past your appointment time they won't see you. Then another girl said that all we could do is wait on stand-by, which means that we would be seen after all the other appointments were done -- which would be an indefinite amount of time. She couldn't give me an even rough time frame either! No thank you. We had to leave. A whole hour of time wasted. These people were so rude and inhumane. I had to help an elderly woman check in on the tablet because the instructions aren't clear. They make you scan your ID front and back, your insurance card front and back, etc. We did that and got a confirmation, but apparently it still didn't check us in! It was so confusing and in the end we were denied service! Never ever coming back to this awful place again!!!! This is what happens when healthcare becomes automated and fueled by capitalist greed. The employees here are trained to deny service to people who need it, and to be very literal, only recognizing a person if they're registered in their malfunctioning tablet screen."
