UCLA Health - Medical Plaza Imaging and Interventional Center - Radiology

"This is for the entire UCLA mammogram imaging system. My mom needs to get a diagnostic mammogram because she has a ping pong sized lump in her breast. Her doctor put in a STAT order at the beginning of June. She can't get a mammogram at any of the UCLA locations until the end of Sept. Wtaf? I hope she doesn't have breast cancer or she is totally screwed. I have Kaiser and it took me a week to get a regular mammogram. My previous insurance I went to Tower Imaging. Again, never longer than a week or two to get in. What the hell is wrong with UCLA? A 3 1/2 month wait for a diagnostic mammogram? This is totally unacceptable. I am looking to move my mom to another provider because UCLA is so horrendous. Don't even get me started on the dermatology dept. She can't get an appt there until 2024."

"I have been here many times for imaging and the staff are always knowledgeable, gentle and kind. The IVs placed for contrast are always done well, procedures are explained and my comfort is maximized. I think the reviews are poor because disgruntled & angry people tend to leave more reviews than do people who are satisfied. I travel from out of state to use this facility, it is the best I have experienced."

"Horrible service and a rude receptionist with little care for patients, UCLA sends a message to verify the appt. time and date and they send the wrong information - Time was incorrect. I showed the message to the receptionist and she said "I don't know who sends those messages, I don't" SMH. Instead of acknowledging their system is broken and trying to get me seen since i was 8 minutes late she refused to do anything other than reschedule my appt. I expected a lot better service and care from UCLA. I didnt want to believe the other experiences/reviews but the staff here proved they lack customer service skills and empathy."

"Terrible customer service. Billed a routine mammogram which should be 100% covered with the wrong billing code where I got charged a copay. Had to deal with 10 different ppl who were mainly clueless to finally fix it. In addition, my mother scheduled a renal biopsy for her new kidney (had a transplant 2 weeks prior) the appointment was at 9am and they started at 230pm. After biopsy they let her go with no instructions no wheel chair and no help. 2 days later we found out that the doctor punctured a vein and she was internally bleeding. This led to an emergency surgery in her new kidney. Pathetic!"

"UCLA imaging is absent. Ridiculous that I was on hold listening to their music for over 15 minutes. So I hung up to try another day. Last week it took me 2 days to get an appointment with my dr at scoi-that was a real mess too. I think UCLA has grown by acquisition too much too soon! Definite growth problems at all sites and specialties. Changing my plan for next year."
