Reviews of Cinemark Century DOCO and XD
"Easy parking in the structure connected to DOCO shopping area( near Macy's). The theater validated. The theater seats are super comfy. You can reserve tickets and even preorder concessions. The theater is surrounded by great places to eat and hang out. Would see more movies here!"
"Really nice place with comfortable recliner seats."
"This was my first time at this theater and didn’t know what to expect. I went to watch Oppenheimer with a friend and this was the only theater in the area with good seats available the day of. I did see a review mentioning that the seats were all on the same level and was a little confused by that. Anyways, when I first drove to the area I was able to find a parking structure right in the DOCO. Not too far from the theater maybe a 5 minute walk. It says parking for Cinemark and DOCO as you enter. It was a little dark so make sure to turn on your headlights and drive slow. Once I parked my car, I saw an escalator in the center of the parking lot so I figured to go up. I didn’t see the theater and wasn’t sure where to go. A couple people gave me directions and eventually I found the theater hahah. You must go up two levels of escalators from the parking lot to reach it. There will be a Cinemark sign. Once inside the theater it was nice, fresh and clean. I didn’t buy any snacks and had prepaid for my tickets so they just scanned my QR code and the process was easy breezy. The theater in general seemed a little small compared to others I’ve been to but still chill nonetheless. We were in auditorium #8 and it was in fact flat as the review mentioned hahah. The seats are those nice leather recliners so pretty comfy. I did notice my neck cramping a bit throughout the movie from the angle but either way it wasn’t a big issue. Once the movie was over I went back to my car and wasn’t sure how to pay for parking but there was a woman with an orange vest whom I asked and she said I could pay as I am leaving at the gate. I did as she said and paid $18 for parking for 3 hours. My car was safe and I didn’t have to deal with street parking so it was okay. Overall I don’t think I’d go to this theater again, (mainly because of the seating thing) but this whole little area is very cool to explore. Lots to do but also don’t forget it can be expensive. Hope this helps :)"
"Just returned to this theater today for the first time since February 2020. I was nervous to take my family because they are not blocking out seats between occupants to allow for social distancing within the theaters. However, we went to a matinee on a Tuesday to see a children's film and there were only five other people in the entire theater. They are not allowing you to choose seats, so it is just general admission to that people can choose to sit where they want. I think that this allows for more social distancing instead of assigning seats to people. I could imagine though for busier days, times, and movies that it would be harder to social distance in the theater. They do have sanitizing wipes in case you do want to wipe your seats down. And they have hand sanitizer throughout. Keep in mind that they do sanitize the seats in between each showing. They encourage social distancing and I noticed that people were doing that in the line for snacks. Also, you go and pay for your tickets up near the snack bar now. Also, the popcorn prices are cheaper because you no longer get free refills like you used to prepandemic. I like this theater because it is close to where I live, it is always clean, and they always are showing wonderful movies. They also will validate your parking tickets for several hours. The parking structure is just a very short walk away."
"This theater is one I have been going to for the last 20years. It is great to return after a long hiatus and see they have made upgrades to keep current. The entry way and ticket purchase was out doors and has been enclosed. The staff seemed helpful and patient with my unfamiliarity with the new procedures. (Now I feel old) The selection of snacks was a pleasant surprise with Pizza Hut pizza ready to grab and go. Two sizes of hot dog was a nice option. Another gem was the availability of being able to add my own butter to the popcorn if I so desired. There were also the other customary snacks available like candy, soda, nachos, and all the others. The movie theater #4 was a bit smaller than the ones in other theaters but the view in the back was much better because of the smaller size. Overall the experience was not great, but it wasn't bad, thus the 3-star rating. It was not my favorite theater but I can go back and enjoy my movie again and again. Check it out and tag me in your review."
