"Gorgeous old theater, love the space. They usually have a well-curated program. Enjoyed seeing some amazing gigs there. I've sat right by the stage, at the orchestra and balcony level. It's not a massive venue, so most seats have a pretty decent view."
"We saw Death Cult here. Great atmosphere for a band like that. I love the layout and the historic feel of the place. If you get a chance to see a band with a Gothic feel, this is the place to see them. Staying at the adjoining hotel is also recommended. Shout out to the hot dog vendors outside after the show."
"Wonderful, very ornate historic theater. We attended a concert here, and I was amazed at the intricate panels and attention to detail. The sound quality for the concert was first class."
"OMG! The Ace Hotel's Theatre is GORGEOUS!! It's over 100 years old and so beautiful. I wish I could have spent a few hours photographing it. It was such a treat to see Nickel Creek on Wednesday night in that space, surrounded by beauty everywhere. I'm grateful to my friend Laura for buying the tickets and treating me! The event staff were courteous and very helpful. The place was very clean. The sound quality was AWESOME! The restrooms are downstairs. There is an elevator, but be prepared to step back in time...it's more of a dumbwaiter, than an elevator. It's super cool. Parking...well, there are paid lots within walking distance. We paid $25 dollars and we were right beside the theatre. There are plenty of wonderful places to eat, all within walking distance. We went to an amazing place called Dune. They had a pickled Beet Sandwich on Ciabatta that is life-changing. Try it! On the top floor of the Hotel, is a beautiful bar and seating area with the best views of downtown Los Angeles. I recommend the Senorita Margarita. My friend got the Whatamelon drink and does not recommend it. She said, "It smells and tastes like Band-Aids". They also serve food. I will post the menu in the photos section. There is a fireplace for those chillier LA nights. All of the tables are made from thick wooden stumps. If you have a chance to see a show there or to stay in the Hotel, I would recommend you do. #theacehotel #beautifultheater"
"The inside is spectacular. It’s so awesome that it has been restored and preserved. Acoustics are good, bathrooms good and seats aren’t too bad as far as comfort. I am 6’2” and was ok for the Nickel Creek show on an aisle seat. I’d love to give it 5 stars but ticketing was very annoying. You had to download an ap from AXS. It was clear by the log jam that the ap was crashing or overloaded. Many people were frustrated. I needed to relog in, reset a password, close the ap, reload the ap… you get the idea. It did eventually work and most people kept their heads on about it. If you’re gonna charge ridiculous service fees and offer no other way to get your ticket… make sure your ap doesn’t suck."
