"Food smells so good when you walk in but that didn't correlate to the taste-food was just average. Service was good but a bit pushy for "last call." There was nobody waiting for our table and we wanted to slowly enjoy our food. We didnt stay until closing but close to closing. Drinks were good. Their curry puff was the most tastiest and limited to two orders per party. Street parking within a block radius. Their cereal fried chicken could use some spice."
"Finally Went to Damansara after having heard about it for a long time, and the food was great! Starters: - The keropok was a fun, crispy accompaniment - The otak otak was nicely wrapped in a leaf, and was well received by the group (I didn’t have it) - The curry potato puff had a great texture and may have been my favorite dish all around Mains: - The vegan rendang, mee goreng, and vegan laksa both had a lot of depth and were spicy and extremely flavorful. If you have the mee goreng, know that the extra spicy option is legitimately very spicy! - The tofu in the vegan nasi lemak had great texture and seasoning, while the tempeh was somewhat hard and flavorless The service was very attentive and quick. I think the atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired - there isn’t a palpable “vibe” there, but the place is simple and clean so no complaints! While the per plate prices feel a bit high, will definitely come back!"
"The star of the show here is the loaded taro cake, which had a variety of seasoning that fit well together. The laksa was also noteworthy considering that not many establishments in the Bay Area can serve the dish properly. The beef rendang tasted regularly, but this was paired well with the coconut rice. Overall, although relatively pricey, I would go back here again."
"As a Malaysian, Tracy’s cooking here in Damansara brings me so much joy and nostalgia… If you’ve ever tried making food from home that is oceans away, you’d know how labour intensive it is to just source the right ingredients; not to mention the cooking needed Damansara balances the need to cater to a public that is foreign to Malaysian cuisine, but still keeping the authentic flavours we have come to find in our favourite dishes. For e.g. their Assam Laksa is not shy in the amount of shrimp paste added - which can be pungent to those unfamiliar with the sour, spicy and umami-packed broth, but Tracy toned down some of the heat to make sure the majority get to try it. The menu is also constantly expanding, so I see myself coming back again and again just to eat everything~ Cocktails aren’t the best sadly, but their sake selection is surprisingly awesome! But I always go for my childhood Milo & 100Plus anyway"
