"The location is good for commuting via Caltrain or getting your daily supplies without a car, but it's too close to Caltrain and it can get very noisy even at night. They will charge the whole amount (even more) of your security deposit for so-called fancy cleaning, while it's just so-so, just consider your security deposit as gone when you make your decision. The price is pretty high at its own."

"Feb 2023: I’ve only lived here for 3 months and already made up my mind to move out once my lease is up. The management is terrible and they are permanently never on site as they are all work from home. You will never be able to meet with management face to face. The management's responses to reviews here are all fake. They respond and seem friendly and helpful to the one-star reviewers on Google, but as a resident, when you’re speaking to them and bringing up actual problems, they couldn’t care less. Please don’t believe their responses on here, seriously. Packages are constantly stolen here or they get opened and then the open boxes and trash are just left on the floors and table in the mail room and lobby. Based on previous reviews, this is an ongoing issue and it’s been this way for the past few years. Management has done nothing to amend this. In terms of maintenance, we asked that we be contacted/called first before a maintenance person can come, as we have a pet roaming and he could accidentally be let out if not properly secured beforehand. This was ignored. We had not received a call from maintenance before their arrival and their reasoning was that their calls get ignored by other tenants so they don’t attempt to call anymore. In terms of cleanliness, cardboard boxes and trash are left outside resident doors and line the hallways, not to be picked up for days and sometimes weeks. There are hundreds of crows all around the area that live on the trees next to the apartment, so the streets are all filthy and covered in bird poop. I got pooped on 3 times just walking my dog. You will also hear their loud squawking the entire night. The soundproofing is not good and I can hear my upstairs neighbor loud footsteps every night until 4AM. I am not exaggerating. Also, the Caltrain can be heard from the apartment and might wake you up. For how expensive the rent is, you’re better off finding someplace else. This is not a “luxury” apartment. Upon moving out they charge enormous fees for cleaning, carpet cleaning, and painting. We had a pet so our deposit was $600 plus $500 for pet. Our return for moving out was a little over $300. Soooo $800 for cleaning…"

"Edited to respond and highlight: The way you can improve upon the experience is better communication with residents Original: The good: - Location - Restaurants, grocery, transportation - Farmers market - Amenities The bad: - Noise - from crows in fall and winter, from upstairs neighbors, and from doors slamming Recently bad: - Communications - Every month they send the same copy-paste email about noise, but the way it is worded is not helpful. The hot tub has been taped off for 3 weeks, but they sent an email only a few days ago about how it "will be closed" and to expect "prompt repairs". Something else has been broken for 2+ weeks with an email sent that day about it, and it is not fixed (only today another email came out about an update). It's understandable that things break but communication could be more effective."

"This seems like a prime area for crime. The gate for the garage has been broken for 2 weeks and management has kept it open. Our car was broken into overnight and this is supposed to be a gated community. There were more than 5 cars that seem to have been broken into. We have also lost packages left outside our door. The apartments are new and maintenance is prompt for anything in the apartment. However, as other reviews have noted, they can't or won't do anything about the crows, about safety, and about thefts."

"Oct 2023 Update: Garage doors have been broken for at least three weeks now and haven't been repaired. Today, we saw one person's car had gotten their window smashed in, and there was safety glass all over another empty parking spot. I'm assuming that was another car that had gotten broken into as well. Geographical location is great, with the apt being located next to many restaurants and other necessities. Maintenance service in general is timely and fast when responding to issues sent and are nice and friendly. However, there have been security issues that reflect in the score I'm giving them. One time, I ran into a homeless man lying on the stairwell, and strange smells in the garage suggest that people may have gotten in there as well previously. Additionally, someone has been ringing my doorbell non stop at 2am. Doesn't feel safe to open the door to confront them, and they're still there! Very scary. Our delivered packages have been stolen from here as well. Note also that there is a well known crow problem here. They roost in the trees and start cawing for half an hour at the top of their lungs every morning at 5am to 6am. Not to mention the incessant ongoing construction next door. There are also periods of time where the fire alarms would frequently go off, sometimes in the dead of night. Felt compelled to note all this tonight, as the twilight door ringing really feels like the straw on the camel's back."
