"The Extended Stay Oakland/ Alameda location is a controlled environment similar to a plantation. Personal items were stolen, hot water was turned off for two days, water was turned completely off for over 8 hours, black substance was on the stove burners which could have caused a potential fire. This is only the tip of the iceberg when describing the activities that are happening at this particular location. Extremely disappointing to say the least. They are laundering more than white towels and sheets. An investigation should be done immediately!!! Terrible abuse and exploitation taking place in this location."

"My sister chose this hotel for the convenience to the downtown Oakland area. It is refreshingly quite and being next to the Marina is nice. The area has an In and Out burger that is close and open late. There is also a Safeway, Target and small shops for needs. About 1.5 miles away I found great bars, winery, eateries on the shipyard and Alameda itself has everything you need for nightlife which is safer than being in Oakland. Please remember to help safeguard yourself by not leaving anything visible in your vehicle. Smashed windows and robbery is very high in the area. This Extended Stay took us by complete shock. There is a desk and 2 chairs, a sink, refrigerator, microwave and shelf area for dishes but nothing else. No silverware, dishes, appliances or coffee offere in room. At checkin we were told there would be grab and go breakfast 6a - 9a. That is a joke. It is oatmeal, granola bars, packaged muffins, coffee, tea, hot water and coca. There are vending machines in the lobby only. You may request a dish pack from the front desk but it may not have cups or glasses and you will have to go to the desk to get them yourself. However, the property is very clean and kept. At night the doors are locked and you must have your room card to be let in. There is no pool, exercise area, meeting rooms or lobby seatings here. The cost far outweighs the services and amenities so, be mindful you will be spending more to makeup for items not offered if you have to stay for and extended period of time. We chose to find a different location. If I was staying for a short er time with more time on the go, I would stay here again. But, each trip requires different needs."
