"I am a garage mechanic that has rebuilt an 2007 Scion TC. I normally work on my own cars and don't let anyone touch my cars. I have a 2006 forester 2.5x 5 speed manual that was given to me as a fixer upper. I had intent to do the swap myself with a good used engine. However I came across Rick's Auto service post and the price was cheaper than if I was to do it myself, not only that but I was busy with house renovations and couldn't get it done until the summer. I was very skeptical about the listing on Craigslist but decided to give Rick a call. Rick was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I towed the car 140 miles from Minnesota to Rick's shop in Wisconsin, once it was fixed I was dropped off and drove it back to Minnesota. The new rebuilt engine purrs like a kitten and the clutch was super smooth. Rick uses top of the line gaskets so you don't have to worry about head gaskets leaking or any of that stuff. Rick was also willing to do a leak down test and compression test for me as well. Rick is a superb guy and knows his Subaru. I would not hesitate to call him for any service.
