Veterans Thrift Store

"I don't know if I still go back to this place. I love this place but after they sold the item that I paid right away and shop more with no negligence. I coordinated the item to be placed for pick up area and expressed my intention to stay and shop more to Joaquin (employee) at the end it was my fault bec I didn't pick up right away and shopped in 2 hours. The Manager told me your items should have sold paper sticker on the item but how would I know that. I paid, I informed the employee. I showed the items, I gave instructions and shopped. But that made me upset more when Joaquin was say "sorry" and smiling. And the Manager just only looked at him without words. I called the main office to express my disappointment and was so professional telling me that she will make it sure this will not happen again. I maybe not to go there to Chula Vista branch anymore but I will be in another branch. Btw this was my favorite hang out place while waiting for my kids pick up at school. Wife of Veteran's for 27 years."

"Just came here to browse and pass the time. A good thrift store is a great place to do this. I feel if you come at the right time you could find some really good things. This store has a lot of product but nothing that really caught my eye. I will come back see here"

"Not as well ran as in years past. Covid 19 conditions not withstanding, the store appeared "Dingy" and musty. The store employees were adequate, But not well vested in serving customers. Certainly not nasty toward customers, but Smug at times. Giving the sense that somehow, I was disturbing them. I say them because it happened with more than one employee. The cashier was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, energetic, and appeared to be focused on me as a customer. I had his full attention. This was also the case with the customer in front of me. That customer also had his full attention. Id suggest customer service training that focuses on there is no customer, more important, than the one in front of you."

"Prices are to high, organization isn’t always the best(see pictures for proof).One thing that ruined this store is the high registers, they are new. They used to have regular ones with glass so you can see the collectibles. Now that they put that high wall all the collectible things are in the back I really don’t see the logic for that. If I want to see things I need to ask to get them. I saw used shoes for $40 and then they cut down to $20. The shoes were used and weren’t worth $40 especially $20 ! This store used to be good now it’s not I don’t know what happen to it ..."
