"I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone the Design Milagros team. They are all so professional, personable and really, REALLY good at what they do! From the very first meet up with Lorraine's very efficient team, I was so impressed! I have project managed many jobs of my own properties. However, having to sell the home of someone very close to me who had passed was overwhelming. Seeing them work together the way they did and the follow up emails I received soon after, I quickly decided to just let them do what they do best and step aside! Even when some of the choices weren't what I might choose, when it all was completed in about a month.....wow! They are miracle workers!!!! My friend would have been amazed and proud of the way they made his beloved home ready for sale. So grateful for Design Milagros!"
"Best in the business!"
"My real estate agent used Design Milagros to stage my home for sale in late 2020. I was extremely dissatisfied with the communication, the process and the result. Specifically: - I was consulted on color scheme (good colors!), but was not informed how those colors would be applied. Only after the job was complete was a color plan sent to me describing where color would be applied. For example, I had wood railings and banisters that were beautifully faux-wood painted that were painted over with white paint. - I was told that my home would receive a deep cleaning ($600+), and that the exterior entryway of the house was be washed. The ‘deep cleaning’ was not nearly as good as my housekeeper, and I really couldn’t tell that anything had been done to the exterior. I ended up washing the exterior myself. I had a two month contract for staging, but was told that I would be charged extra to have someone clean. I was told that no one was to enter the property, which meant that I was forced to use the stager’s cleaning service. I decided to live with the dust. - In the process of Milagros paint and repair, door faces were reinstalled backward, an electrical switch was broken, a toilet seat was ruined with paint, a recessed light was broken, under-counter kitchen lights we broken, and paint was over-sprayed on switches and drawers. The ceiling in one bedroom that needed to be patched and skimmed was poorly done and had to be re-done. I had to notify Milagros of each of these items. - The bedroom staging was very nice, however, the staging of the entry, living room, dining room, kitchen and balcony looked like something I could easily have done myself… 2 plants, a couple of bowls at the kitchen counter, some cheap art, an entry table with legs that were bent, cheap living room furniture, and outdoor furniture that looked like it had been used for 10 years. It was only when my agent commented that some of these items were rectified (I was ignored). My home had a beautiful panoramic view from the living room, dining room and kitchen overlooking downtown San Francisco, the Bay, Candlestick point, and Twin Peaks. With a grand fireplace, 14-foot vaulted ceilings and both inside and outside balconies, it was a very special living space. The comment I made, and which I also received from many who viewed the living space was that the staging fell way short of matching the beauty of the space and of the view. The staging was frankly ordinary. The most frustrating issue was the arrogance of the Design Milagros team. The Design Milagros team responded to feedback only from my real estate agent, yet I paid 100% of the $35,000 fee. My comments were mostly ignored or discounted, and worse yet, the only response I received from the business owner was effectively ‘you don’t understand what our vision is. Wait until we are done, then you will get it.’ I pretty much got it as soon as I saw the cheap furniture go in."
"They did a three story loft for me in December/ January, It looked beautiful. I also appreciated that they had a handy Man service to fix the small problems before selling. They were very easy to work with."
