"Phenomenal subs. This is a gem. I travel far for a Stewies submarine sandwich. Smaller locally owned, check the hours before you venture out. Worth the drive and the wait! Also, the Italian mayo and olive mix are delicious- a "must" to any sub ordered."
"Amazing sandwiches in Forest Lake. The ladies working there are super friendly and the sandwiches were delicious. Great spot for something other than fast food. A must have if you are in the area."
"You can smell how amazing it is outside the door. Seriously wish I could eat that air. Chicken sandwich is my favorite and the broccoli cheese soup is the best I've ever had, so cheesy. Only complaint is when asking for no cheese on a Sammie that comes with it, unless they write the no cheese part, then it still comes with cheese."
"We flew into MSP and headed north on 35 towards Cloquet. Once we got north of the cities we planned to eat but wanted something that was like fast food but wasn’t. My wife pulled up Google Maps and found Stewies, about 5 minutes off 35. Turned out to be a great stop. We each got the Italian, my wife got hers on a gluten free hoagie. It was the first day they were test driving a new gluten free hoagie bun and it’s a winner. It toasted well, held together, and most importantly, tasted good. Both sandwiches were excellent with generous portions of all the things that make subs delicious. We’ll likely hit again on our next visit to Minnesota. Bonus points for having cribbage boards for their customers."
"Old school sandwich shop with hand written tickets. Dine-in is served at the tables, or grab something to go. My first time in here and I went with the El Diablo: turkey, pepper jack, Jalepeno bacon, Jalepenos, tomato, lettuce, onion, Jalepeno Mayo. Good flavor and not very spicy. Don't be intimidated unless black pepper is too much for you. A lot of people are here for lunch. Plan for a few extra minutes. It's a hometown shop and food took about 4-5 mins. It's hidden in a strip mall and I only stopped in after seeing other reviews on Google Maps - looking for a sandwich while headed through town. Daily soups must also be a hit - a lot of people behind me ordering soups , or half sandwich and soup."
