"TL;DR: Jo is terrible and my 30 minute massage lasted only 20 minutes. They tried to charge me the full $59 despite only getting 20 minutes of massage time. More detail below. First, Jo's technique was subpar - she was basically just putting lotion on me with occasional pressure. None of my previous massages have been so amateur at Simply Massage. Second, my 30 minute massage lasted only 20 minutes. I noticed the clock at 5:05 when the massage started and at 5:25 when Jo left the room (see picture). So I got ripped off twice: terrible massage that was shortened by 10 minutes (30% of massage time)!! No one told me up front that a 30 minute massage would be shortened to 20 minutes. When I asked why my massage was only 20 minutes, Eddy (the manager), said they typically allow for 5 min at each end of the massage for clients to disrobe. I called BS on this explanation - THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME AT ANY MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT, even in the past at Simply Massage. I told Eddy the explanation was ludicrous and had I been told that my massage would last only 20 minutes, I would have never made the appointment in the first place. Then Eddy mentioned that Jo had a 5:30 appointment so had to cut my massage short. SO WHY DID I HAVE TO BE PENALIZED BY 10 MIN?!! $59 for a 20 minute massage is robbery - Simply Massage should have never booked me in the first place. I've come to Simply Massage many times with no issues and even purchased a membership for my husband in the past. However, I feel completely ripped off."
