Super 8 by Wyndham Dodgeville

"Absolutely awful and they never refunded my money! I called and booked this place during a father son road trip in 2022. I got it because they had a pool, hot tub and it was the cheapest hotel with those offerings. When we arrived, I was checking in and made a comment about wanting to get in the hot tub. She said, "oh, the hot tub is closed for renovation." I said that was ok, I'll just go in the pool then. She said that was closed too. I told her the only reason we are staying here is for the pool and hot tub. So, she went through the process of a refund and said, "I think that worked." Needless to say, it did not and I was out $140! I was furious! We ended up having to go down the street to Best Western and pay more to get a room. I later called and spoke to the manager and she was not helpful and not successful with a refund! I had to contact my bank for a stop payment. That worked but Super 8 contested the refund and I had the money withdrawn from my account for a second time! So, I had to pay $140 for a hotel room I never stayed at! I cannot give an accurate review of the establishment because I didn't make it farther than the lobby. If an establishment cannot process something as simple as a refund, I wouldn't recommend doing business there."

"Well kept location. Very clean and enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable and great pillows! Very friendly and helpful staff. GM Tammy and front desk person Marsha were more than accommodating and very friendly. Could t recommend this place enough if you're ever in the area for some reason. I really enjoyed my stay here."

"There was only one person on staff, she was very kind. But the rooms were gross. My bedsheets were peeling apart. There was obvious mold all over the rooms. And when I made the reservation, I was told we had adjoining room... apparently the whole hotel does NOT have any adjoining rooms. Thank goodness we only had to stay one night."

"Great experience comfy beds and amazing pillows! Best shower head I've ever used in a hotel and the adjustment settings actually worked! Jessica at the front desk is amazing and the 2nd shift couple were great! Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the breakfast selection but over all clean room was surprised it was a pet friendly room and it didn't smell like pets so great job housekeeping Keep up the good job staff! "Location is the only thing this hotel has. The rooms were dirty....there was black mold/gunk around the toilet bowl. Also black mold/gunk around the sink where it was coming apart from the vanity. Mysterious stains on the carpet. On our check out day, the housekeeper walked into the room at 9 am, without knocking. Then proceeded to start stripping the room before we did our double check and actually checked out. The hot tub was okay, but poorly thought out(seats aren't low enough, jets not positioned to help). Looks like it was once a nice hotel, but no longer. Also, breakfast was very skimpy for a Super 8. Overall kinda dissappointed."
