Sak's Sports Bar 1460 County Road E East, Vadnais Heights, MN 55110

"Food was decent. Service was OK. Typical sports bar with some good sandwiches. My issue was the 3% surprise surcharge. I spoke with manager. He said it was in fine print somewhere in the menu. He shrugged and said other restaurants do this as well. I replied, "I will not return to those restaurants either." I see this as a dishonest practice. The menu lists a price for the burger, pasta, drink, etc. - but that's not the price they are charging, as they add 3% more. Price of a burger isn't the $14.00 listed, it's $14.42. And while it's easy to dismiss as "only 3%".. what happens at 5%, or 25%. This is a shady, dishonest practice and I will not return. I still tipped 19% - having been a waiter for years going to college. This brought the bill for 2 sandwiches, a coke, a seltzer and an appetizer to $70."

"A big group of us went to Sak’s for an early dinner last weekend, and we all had a nice experience! Their menu has a good variety of items and everyone was able to find something they liked. Our server was very friendly and did a great job promptly getting us refills on drinks. I ordered the turkey, bacon, gouda sandwich with a side of their chicken wild rice soup. The soup was very thick and creamy, and was topped with some almond slivers I believe. I loved it! The sandwich had a cranberry mayo on it which really complimented the other flavors on the sandwich. It was a bit messy to eat, but it was still delicious! We will definitely come back again."

"First time at Sak’s, we enjoyed the lively atmosphere on Saturday at noon for bingo! The bar and restaurant were full. Lots of attentive staff, good food, and quickly served drinks at the bar. Also, pull tabs! Lots of sandwiches and appetizers on the menu. Prices are reasonable. Nice that it’s connected to the TCO Sports complex and convenient location off of hwy 61."

"Our first time here, and we will definitely be back. We sat out on the patio, and it was beautiful. Our server, Bri, was lovely and attentive. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Definitely recommnded!"
