Reviews of Little Village Pub
"I used to be a loyal patron of this restaurant at its old location, and it breaks my heart to see what it has become after the move and change in ownership. The charm and character that once defined this establishment seem to have been lost in the transition. Firstly, let's talk about the food. The menu has now been reduced to an extremely basic selection. For the price I would expect fries or something other than chips be the included but chips is the default. The ambiance is another sore point. The old location had a unique and inviting atmosphere, with thoughtful decorations that added to the overall dining experience. However, the new place is practically devoid of any character. The sparse, almost non-existent decorations make it feel sterile and cold. It's disappointing to see the lack of effort put into creating a welcoming environment. What adds to the disappointment is the fact that the old location was demolished. That place held so many memories and had a distinct identity that cannot be replicated. It feels like the heart and history of the restaurant were left behind in the rubble. In summary, while the service remains decent, the overall experience has suffered immensely. It's disheartening to witness the decline of a once-beloved establishment. I sincerely hope the new owners take the feedback to heart and work towards restoring the charm and uniqueness that made this restaurant a standout in the first place."
"Pros: Amazing sound track, would come back just for that! The crispy tacos were fantastic. Environment was stellar. Cons: multiple menu items on happy hour are the same price in the main menu. A Random 3% charge (not explained) on receipt. Some chips had a rubbery texture (only some). I should have listed to the employee advise about the pizza fries blah at best, afterwards I felt for $15 could have purchased 2 KWIK Trip pizzas and been happier..7 of 10, marinara sauce was excellent. I have never seen my buddy not finish a beer and he said he tasted like skunk. Overall will be back 1 more time at-least. I want to try those wings Most disappointing was no check back to see how good the food was, very attentive on the drinks and personable."
"Amazing food! Great atmosphere! Love the on going trivia tv! Board games and pull tabs available! Definitely a must check out!"
"Overall... it's okay. I didn't care for it because of the crowd and the noise, but they have a lot of people who like that, so maybe that's on me. We tried the happy hour apps - spicy cauliflower (loved the batter, but the spice didn't do it for me) and fries (pretty good). For dinner we had a cheeseburger, beef tacos, and the fish and chips. The best dish was the fish and chips by far, plus it could easily serve two people. The burger was good, but nothing special, and the tacos were not good. Service was great, food came fast and hot. Beer selection was okay, not diverse or crafty."
"The restaurant took over this space fairly recently. They are working with a decent sized menu. One thing to note was the large bar space that is present. It is definitely a point of emphasis within the restaurant. I ordered a breakfast burger. It had bacon on it and an egg on top of it. As a substitute for the chips I ordered fries with my burger. The burger was overall very good. The meat itself may have been a little dry as my patty fell apart a bit. But the bacon was so delicious, it was cooked perfectly and there was a good amount on the burger. The egg was also placed very nicely on top and tasty."
