Meadowview Family Resource Center

Meadowview Family Resource Center, located at 2251 Florin Road in Sacramento, California, is a health institution that offers a variety of family support services. Even during the Covid crisis, their dedicated staff members are working remotely to provide assistance to families in need. The center, operated by the Sacramento Children’s Home, provides community-based services at no cost in the diverse communities of Meadowview, North Sacramento, and Valley Hi.

These visitors create individual support plans for each family and provide weekly lessons from the Nurturing Parenting Program. In times of crisis, the Intervention Specialist at the center helps families reduce their problems so they can focus on parenting. The School Readiness Home Visitor assists parents in preparing their children for success, while the Engagement Specialist supports families with school-age children. These services have had a positive impact on families, with more than 97% of those in the Home Visitation Program remaining free of child abuse or neglect cases.
