This was our first experience at 1909 and chose this spot because it’s right out my back door and wish to see businesses thrive in little Cross Plains. From the moment you walk in, you feel invited. The people, decor, seating options, lighting, patio, globes, wine selection… all beckon you to be there and beckon you to come back another time."
"Great wine bar with Enomatic machines to keep it fresh and dispense the amount of your choice. The local Esser beer is available as well. Cocktails and wine on the luxurious patio makes for a perfect day!"
"Absolutely gorgeous building remodel sets the tone for an upscale casual experience. 16 different wines are "on tap"' between 2 different dispensing machines. Wine prices vary from $3.50 for a 2.5 oz pour to $14 for a 7.5oz glass. The cheese and sausage tray ($8) was simple, but a nice accompaniment. The staff seem novice yet, but were very friendly and helpful. Seating is offered in 3 different rooms, varying from stools at bars and high top tables to couches. The building itself really steals the show. The back room is 2 levels completely redone floor to ceiling in stacked stone. It opens up to a vaulted ceilings completely comprised of glass. Another room has coffered ceilings with faux tin panels. There are art, home, and jewelry pieces for sale throughout. This is a great stop for a quick drink after work or leisurely weekend afternoon!"
