"I just bought my membership online. I walked in set up my account but my son couldn’t do it online I was going to get the membership the next day for him. On the website it advertised a 3 day pass. When I went there they sent me to Eddie a sales man from La fitness I asked him about the 3 day pass and mentioned my son was going to get the membership the next day he said in order for him to try the gym he needed to buy the membership today or pay $20 to try the gym as guest. I know they want to make money but they shouldn’t advertise the 3-day pass on there website if they don’t honor it."

"The overall gym is not bad it’s the personal training contract that I have a problem with. For one never ever sign a contract with them. I signed for personal training about a year ago and was completely lied to for the sale. Nevertheless yes I was duped but there were some other things that were never mentioned and their practices are predatory in nature. I came in to cancel the personal training session as it’s been a year and I have a ton stashed up, I was then told I can’t cancel unless the personal training manager is in which they are only in Monday to Friday 9-5 when MOST people work Monday to Friday 8-5. Tell me how they can do that?!? I was given an email I could try or I could mail in the cancellation but no guarantee how long that could take. It’s so frustrating. Luckily I work from home Monday and Friday and can come on my lunch but not everyone can do it. Never ever again LA fitness. Shame on you!"

"***DECEMBER 2023 UPDATE*** The last time I came to this gym was the summer of 2022, and their AC in the back room (free weight room) was broken down and was being repaired according to the front desk. I attended for another week and just couldn't bear the heat in the room, being that it was the middle of the summer. So I started attending a different gym locating after that week and hadn't gone back until today, 12/26/23. The free weight room STILL has an issue with their AC system. It is HOT in that room, and we're in the middle of winter here. I immediately noticed the temperature change upon walking into the free weight room. It's not fun. Finished my workout and went inside the men's locker room to shower. There are no shower curtains for privacy. The sauna isn't as hot as other saunas at other LA Fitness gyms. I won't be going back to this gym for a while. Hopefully, if and when I visit the next time, they will have their AC fixed and provide us with a cooled down free weight room and some shower curtains for privacy in the men's locker room. Original review: New member here! But oldskool bodybuilder, hehehe! So I used to be a member of a different gym franchise, and recently became an LAFitness member. I usually go to the one on Magnolia, but I was in the area and decided to check this one out. So this gym is clean, very well kept, and with the changes and expansion they made to the weight room area it is now a whole lot better! Their weight room is so much more roomier and able to fit more machines and equipment, and you aren't elbow to elbow with other members. This is such a great change, I'm so happy they did this. Perhaps this change was made a while back, but I may not be aware of the actual date they did these changes because the last time I entered this gym was back in 2010 or 2011 I believe!? The front desk staff could of been a little friendlier the morning I visited, but no biggie. After all, I haven't been back since that visit, as I usually go to the one on Magnolia. So it's possible it was just that one day. It's great, locker rooms actually smelled good, equipment is clean and all functioning! I enjoyed my visit here and will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area. Thank you LAFitness!"

"The trainer need training, no one knows what they are doing. You are better off learning how to work out on YouTube. I use to be a customer there for 7 years. Just cancelled my membership because all staff talk bad about their customers. It’s like h.s drama In this location. I dated the sales manager in the past so I knew what was going on behind closed doors. It’s not right how fake they are with there customers. salespeople do not care about your goals they just want to get you for your hard working money, do not let there sale tactics get you. Stay away from this location. There are plenty of other gyms in the area."
