"Nice honest individual, just not the right vehicle for me"
"My car broke down on the way to work last Wednesday. I called a local dealership and they couldn't fit it in for a week and a half. I was able to limp my way to Auto Seconds. Steve was able to get my car back to me in just a few days and at a GREAT price. Very happy with the quality of service. Thank you so much!! I know who I am calling next time I need work done on my car."
"nice guy , the thing with a review people newer leave good one when they happy, but when you not happy the anger talks ."
"I’m writing this review to hopefully save someone from being swindled by this slick dealer. He’s smooth… and a liar. On initial visual inspection the car seemed fine. I was told that the car had not been in an accident (EVER) without a thorough professional inspection you wouldn’t have known anything was wrong with the vehicle… Unfortunately for me, I did not have a professional mechanic inspect the vehicle before I bought it… A mistake I will not be making in the future. Without any regards to my safety this dealer sold me a car that was dangerously unsafe to drive… As it turns out…Hidden underneath the car’s frontend, the front bumper was held to the steal body with zip ties and wire and there was a crack down the center front that turned into an actual break that was painted over hiding the FACT that this automobile had been in an accident of some sort, I did not think to reach down and try to lift the front end, because I was told and shown that there were no accidents on record for this vehicle, but if I had I would have found out that the bumper was strung on with dry rotted zip ties. The windshield had a small crack in it on the passenger side along the seal which a couple of weeks after owning this piece of junk revealed itself by spiking up the windshield… Within the first few months of owning this car I had to replace the distributor plus labor equals $472.00 and the radiator plus labor $218.00 and that was just within the first few months… I haven’t been able to afford a different car so I have to keep putting money into it a couple hundred dollars every couple of months making it impossible to save any money to buy a new car… If you don’t have a lot of money and need a car “DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!” My purchase from him has cost me dearly… I have now within 15 months of purchasing a vehicle from him paid more for repairs on said vehicle, than I paid for the vehicle… I was ripped off… I just don’t want anyone to go through what I’ve been through because being ripped off makes you feel stupid, even though it’s because they are a good liar… Don’t be fooled… being stranded on the road because somebody lied to you sucks. Good luck in your search for a reliable used automobile, just don’t waste your time here. I gave this dealer one star on this review, only because it doesn't allow you to give it negative stars..."
"I found a car from here on craigslist, so I called. He explained to me that the car was priced so low because it has a salvage title after a front right end collision, but whoever fixed it did a great job. I called back a bit later to ask for a carfax or autocheck, and he promptly sent me an autocheck. On it were listed 3 collisions, one of which was classified as a *rollover *. Obviously I would've appreciated hearing that in his explanation of the incident... When I came to look at it, I took it for an inspection, and they found the paint job was very sub par (lots of dirt in it, a huge spot where they went too heavy on the paint and it dripped, etc.). That also found that the a/c didn't work, and they explained that this is hard to test quickly, so when buying a car without working a/c you need to know it's a gamble that can cost anywhere from $250-1200, but considering the car's history of collisions, it would probably be on the high end. When I got back, the dealer tried telling me the a/c probably just needed a recharge... And he seemed to know it didn't work, despite the fact that this wasn't ever mentioned to me or posted with the car's information. Even considering it had a salvage title, the "bottom line lowest he could take" was 6200, while dealers in Madison were listing the same car with 20,000 more miles but a clean title and perfect carfax for $8000. Altogether, I don't feel like they were scamming me to the point of illegality or selling something that was going to konk out on me in 300 miles (the mechanics did give the engine a good grade), but they definitely concealed the nature of the impact it took, and I'm extremely glad I walked away from this one."
