"We've eaten here a few times and all of our food has been good! The flat fries are a hit. Service is friendly, but our food took a very long time, especially most recently. They were busy when we came in, but it seemed like most everyone else already had their food, so I didn't expect to have to wait as long as we did; however, everything was cooked properly (fish frys and flat fries) and came out hot. My husband appreciates the beer and liquor selection, and most items are listed with prices conveniently on their screens at the end of the bar. I like the atmosphere here better than most bars. It is nicely updated and has a modern feel while still retaining a coziness. Adequate seating for a bar/small grill at tables throughout, including a separate dining area during high traffic times."

"Went for the prime rib special for Valentine’s Day. You get what you pay for and the prime rib was not good. The flavor was off and a lot of gristle. You couldn’t have cut it any thinner. They advertised 8 to 10 ounces, but our cuts I would be surprised if they were even 8 ounces. The service was good. Our waitress was very pleasant. Next time we want prime rib we will pay the extra and get quality meat."

Had the Fish Fry and it was excellent. The fish was fresh and hot, the fries were plentiful and delicious and Gramma's Potato Salad was excellent."

"Beacon has excellent food and service! I had their prime rib sandwich (with grilled onions of course) and every bite was delicious! The meat was extremely tender and tore right apart with every bite. I give them extra points for their crispy fries, which resemble thin-cut "steak fries". I can tell the staff and owner really care about the experiences of their guests, and that was reflected in their sincere discussions with us. It is very rare these days to find a restaurant that has as much integrity in their work as this one. I will definitely be back!"
