"For many years when I'm in the area with friends or business.. Jake's. Always delicious, great quality, service and priced accordingly. The skin is one of the true delicacies of eating duck..Jakes does it perfectly. the sauce on the side. Not destroying the crispness of the skin."
"Had a reservation for 5:15pm on a Monday. When we got there hostess said, “go sit over there.” Did not walk us to the table. Then we are sitting there for 20 minutes and the same hostess comes over and takes our drink order. Meanwhile tables that were seated after us all gave drinks, bread service and their orders are being taken. After 10 more minutes with no drinks yet, we got up and left because we knew it wasn’t going to go well. And, we were not there for the Monday special, we were there to celebrate a birthday and have a nice dinner. If I could give less than 1 star, I would!"
"The food was fantastic and the server was great. -We started the meal off with cheese curds. They were some of the best i have ever had. I highly recommend them! -Then for the main course I had a boneless ribeye with Mac n cheese and thin fries and my date had the trio of filets with roasted mushrooms a double baked potato. 'We finished the night with out first creme brulee. It was delicious. My only issue was the seating was on raised platform so I had to be careful moving my chair back to leave/sit down."
"Artistry and care go into every item on the menu. Chef/owners are particularly careful and particular about the food, service and ambiance of their restaurants, and this one is special. Being open for over 60 years, says it all. Young Jake Replogle, chef and owner, with his wife, Karen, run a restaurant that is wonderful for special occasions or just a burger at the bar. Just ask several generations of families who are regulars, or me!"
"Small wait for our reserved table. Tried to grab a drink at the bar but the bartender never stopped by. Dinner was really nice. My ribeye was cooked correctly and the sides were ok. Mushrooms were too salty but the fries and mac and cheese were good. No mashed potatoes on the menu? Ended on a great grasshopper!"
