"Went here with my wife of 8 years. She was trying on dresses to possibly purchase. I was in the waiting room. An employee asked me to go elsewhere to wait while my wife was trying on clothes. I was sitting in the waiting area. It was because I was a straight thin white male they asked me to leave. Very uncool. I told my wife in the changing room we were leaving without buying anything at that point. If you don’t want men in your waiting areas while accompanying wife’s,sisters, daughters, literally any woman than put a sign saying NO MEN ALLOWED. Very sexist. Why even allow men into your store if you are targeting them. Very upsetting time at that store. Retrain all employees on customer service and teach people that anyone should be able to shop no matter there color, height, weight, gender etc. I will not have my wife,or children,or grandchildren shop at this store because of this. I have told many friends and family of my experience at this store. I couldn’t even take my wife shopping on our anniversary for some clothes. DO BETTER."
"The quality of the items is very good and prices are ok but customer service in this location is very poor. I was in the store to return two online purchases. The person in the cashier processed the return very quickly. However, she did not have any interest in helping me find the items in a smaller size in store or online. I even asked her if she had any other items of the same style and she told me to look around. She did not even tell me where to look for it or offer any help. She was spending her time talking to the other employee. Her attitude toward clients and her lack of energy or enthusiasm to help clients was remarkable."
"Went to the store to return 2 shirts I ordered online. One shirt was in the original packaging the other I didn't have any packaging or tags. The employee looked at the shirt without tags, set it in the corner of the counter, scanned the other shirt and told me I had a "house credit". What is a "house credit"? Doesn't this go back to my LB credit card? Since the shirt without tags was still sitting on the counter I asked if it was mine to tale with me or if she was going to return it. She told me "well technically we aren't supposed to accept anything without a tag. It's in the return policy if you would have read it". Absolutely amazed at the level of customer service this person gave."
"Absolutely livid! I stood outside the door for 20 minutes because there was a sign on the door saying max capacity 4 due to staffing issues. Doors were both locked with people inside. Umm hello - fire code?!! Employee opened door to let someone out and then said “you know I’m closing at 4 right?” I checked my phone and it’s 4:03. The store says it closes at 6. How would I know you were closing at 4 when the door says 6? She then said she was the only one there and she was tired and needed a break. Store is only open 11-6 (7 hours), and it was 4 o’clock. You can’t find someone who can work for 5 hours without complaining they’re tired to customers? Wow. She then shut the door and locked it. Other people kept trying to go in, and she just ignored it. You lost a big sale and a customer. Torrid, here I come. EDIT: reported to corporate. Who knows if anything will come of it, but it should."
"Omg! Gave it a few months before going back in to see if anything has gotten better. Went in. Had 10 plus items in my hand. 3 or 4 employees working with only one other customer in the store. I asked about a fitting room. Never did she offer - just told me to go back with my items. Never was I asked how things were or if I needed any help. When I hot to the register I was told they don't match prices from their website - I was like ok I'll order from website. What a loss for them - they didn't even offer to order it for me. They were talking (to eachother) about how they did things at all the stores that have closed. Talking about how to better set up their underwear drawer. Hmmmm - I think they better find some better customer service. I hate shopping online but went home and started shopping online with a different retailer. Go to Torrid if you need in person but do not waste your time here. So sad. Management responds to reviews but you can tell this is consistent by the number of negative reviews saying the same thing."
