"This place kind of gives weird vibes. The building itself is pretty run down and needs quite a bit of work. The decor inside is lack luster at best. The thing that slightly caught me off guard was just kind of the awkwardness of waiting for a table. You walk into a sign that says “wait to be seated” but you apparently need to actually walk into the dining room to get anyone to acknowledge you. We were told a wait time that was about a 1/3 of the time it actually took- which happens, I get it. However it was just odd that the staff didn’t apologize or really even seem to notice us. The food was however very good, with the exception of the free bread which was stale. The service was pretty good when you were seated. Overall take away is that if you are under the age of 50 and not a regular the atmosphere seems a bit like a regulars hangout versus a restaurant."

"Steak and shrimp was great. Potato soup was tasty, along with homemade bread, some onion rings and salad made the Blue Heron well worth the drive from Germantown, for the value. Reasonable prices and great service. We had Carlie wait on us and she was all smiles, friendly and fast. Thanks for the great evening."

"My wife and I had dinner there and we both ordered the fried chicken which was made to perfection. We both had the house salad which was plentiful and delicious. I ordered the spaghetti soup which I never had and found it to be outstanding. The warm bread paired well with both the soup and salad. Nice touch! I ordered the fries with my chicken that were just the way I like them, thin and crispy. I had two bourbon old fashion sours with olives along with my dinner which were excellent. Our overall dining experience was 5 star. We will most definitely return along with highly recommending to all our friends."

"We went on Wed for the family style fish and chicken. The broiled fish was excellent as was the chicken. Fried fish was good, but for me the other two outshine the fried fish. Service was good, very friendly and prompt in clearing empty plates. Which, as a former server I appreciate. I would definitely recommend!"

"Had dinner there tonight! We did not have reservations so we went early! We got there at about 4:45, they don’t start seating till 5 and they told us we’d be sat as soon as the reservations were sat. Very shortly after 5 we were sat with a beautiful view of the water! Food was delicious! They have an awesome Saturday Special menu! We had the seafood platter! Huge portion, served HOT! If you are going for the prime rib, which looked phenomenal, make sure you let them know when you make your reservation. They were out of prime rib by 5:30 unless you had one reserved. We will definitely be going back soon! Thank you❤️"
