Alpine Retreat

"Went there for the second time in a month. First Friday the baked haddock was awesome: two thick long juicy pieces. Tonight, a joke. Three tiny extra thin two inch long pieces. Others at the table ordered the fish platter and it was so so. Why so inconsistent between visits? The four of us were quite disappointed. Mentioned it to our server who offered to bring an extra tiny extra thin piece of baked fish. No thanks. Will find another Friday place."

"We had wanted to try the fish fry for a long time and finally made plans to go. I appreciate the fact they take reservations on a Friday, for even 2 people! We both ordered the fish fry, had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The food was very good. The value for the portion, fantastic. The small dining room did get kind of loud, it was fine for the 2 of us, but if we were going out with another couple to, "catch up," conversation at times would have been a little difficult without having to talk really loud, that said, we will definitely return."

"Great restaurant with reasonable pricing. The food quality is well worth the time and money. When you drive towards Alpine, it gives you a very "Up North" feel that gets you relaxed and ready for a get dinning experience. The building itself gives of a cozy vibe and nostalgic feel. The service is great, and the wildlife out back is always fun to see."

"Amazing experience from start to finish! A lovely woman took our reservation over the phone and was so friendly and lovely when we arrived. The bar is adorable- we could see a tom turkey walking in front of the windows right when we walked in! Our server was also so friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely amazing!!! We had bacon wrapped water chestnuts, ribs, salad (best ranch peppercorn ever), steaks, loaded potatoes, and the homemade chocolate silk pie!!! We can't wait to go back!"
