"I did a phone pick up for a beef soltani with zereshk. They charged 9 dollars extra for zereshk when the cost of zereshk is so minimal (plus other Persian restaurants in the city charge 5). On top of that they charge 52 for beef soltani. You can get better quality Persian food at Lavash in the city. On top of all of this the waitress was incredibly dismissive from the moment i walked in (the restaurant was completely empty). From other experiences dining here and as an Iranian I will not be returning. Also the Barg you can tell is warmed up and not fresh, you can’t even pull the meat apart and it tastes unseasoned. Save your money."
"This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere! However if you are Iranian and wish to have real Iranian food, this is not the best place to go: their koobideh literally smelled like the oil from the metal grill ! Part of it was burnt, it was not well done , the rice was dripping with butter. Baklava was something I never saw nor ate : I can’t even describe what the ingredients were ! This place did not meet my expectations at all"
"Just down on Green street walking around looking at things with my pal Sheeran and his associates lil thumper and big bang when all the sudden Sheeran tells me how they cook lamb in his home town. In a deep hole in the ground he tells me, and they'll cook 4 to 6 whole lambs at a time for 6 hours. It's a celebration they have every 4 months, and the entire extended family is there, then he says let's go to the Maykadeh Restaurant and see how good the lamb is, you made me hungry."
"One of the best Persian restaurants I have ever been to. The place has an old vibe, which was nicely decorated with candle light and roses. But the tables are too close to each other. The server lady was not too sweet, rather was in a hurry. The complementary pita breads with salad and butter was too good. I ordered a Babaganoush ( spelling right?) which was served cold and very aromatic and flavorful. I was actually full after eating all these! Then my main entree arrived. It was a chicken chello kebab. The portion size was too large for me. In fact two people can easily share. The saffron infused buttered rice was very aromatic. And the juicy kebabs were unearthly. I never expected such a soft piece of chicken ( it was actually ground chicken I guess). The food was very nice. I had to take the remaining portion as a togo. The lady asked me if I need any dessert or wine. She was not very happy to find that I was not ordering anything like that. It was not too pricy if you compare the portion size and the quality. However I think they need to be little more hospitable ( with a smiling face) from their side."
