"My room is located on the industrial side and I advise you not to book anywhere near that side due to the noise and construction going on right below. I asked the front desk if anything could be done and they just offered a upgrade with the cost associated with it. I spent over $2000 on my stay and couldn’t be more displeased. Had I known there would’ve been a noise issue I would have not booked this location, stay away."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront! It was a beautiful location with a stunning hotel room view and very comfortable amenities. The resort and parking fees upon check-in were quite expensive and unexpected however."

"Beware the cancellation policy is 7 days. We had an emergency and needed to cancel our stay. I expected the usual 48-72 hours but that's not the case. To top it off, their "cancellation fee" is the entire room rate. Most emergencies don't come up 8 days before a planned vacation. We called 5 days before our stay and weren't given any options. I expected better from Hilton. We won't be staying here or at any other Hilton property."

"Location is perfect if you are here for a conference. I did go to the gym every day which has all the basic equipment (high quality) if you want to get a proper work out done. Just one note: The boxing bag needs to be placed properly. Because when I tried sparring on my upper body day, I just couldn’t as it was continuously hitting the rack. I am not a Starbucks fan, but there is one right by the hotel. Another option for coffee (no espresso machine) is the Cannery. Amenities are great. Skyline views are great, sunrise and sunset is amazing from the room. All over a pleasant, comfortable stay"

"Very pleasant stay overall - hotel was quiet and clean. Location is close to the gas lamp district (easy 10 min walk) where there are many restaurants and bars. Parking garage is connected to the hotel via walkway and convenient. Rooms were spacious and we got a bit of a view of the Coronado Bridge. The hotel kindly supplied a toddler crib and had it setup and ready in our room. The highlight for us was the access to the boardwalk for a morning stroll - very convenient. Would consider staying here again. Only point of criticism was that the hotel is located right on the fringe of a grungy neighborhood (across the highway towards the baseball stadium). We were travelling with a toddler in a stroller and used the overhead walkway to cross the highway… the elevators on the walkway were out of service and being used by homeless as a shelter. The area can easily be avoided by taking a different route, but mentioning for fellow parents Note on perks for Hilton Honours members: the hotel noted my Diamond status and was great in honouring early check in / late checkout. No room upgrade this time, and we were given a $45 voucher for breakfast (instead of a free breakfast voucher like most other Hilton’s I’ve stayed at). Overall, still nice that I got something but not the best perks I’ve seen from partner Hilton honours chain hotels."
