"Had only heard great things about this place but honestly wasn’t that impressed with the food. It was good- but not great. Had the fritti di mare for an app- they were so dry and the sauce was terrible- supposed to be saffron garlic aioli and tastes lemon-y. I got the cavatelli with Monday sauce which was good. My husband got the gnocchi genovese- the gnocchi was fine but the short rib onion ragu was the great. I had a mocktail which was great! Dessert was the highlight of the evening- Nutella calzone."
"We came here while visiting Milwaukee, this is the BEST ITALIAN food we have ever eaten and we travel all over the world and country! You MUST eat here! We sat at the bar since we didn’t have a reservation and the bartender was VERY accommodating! We took our time and enjoyed three different dishes and tried each and have drinks. The pasta is house made and delicious! You won’t regret if you won’t come here because you will never know if you don’t know, but I’m telling you it’s not a place to miss! Get a reservation!"
"Came here for a date night, looking for a new experience. Sat at the bar because we didn't make reservations (didn't bother my husband and I, but I recommend a reservation if it bothers you). The building is beautiful and the bartender was very attentive. All the employees we interacted with that night were delightful. We ended up trying the Chicken Piccata Meatballs as an appetizer (absolutely delicious - pictured is two, but they serve 5 as the app). For our main courses, Cavatelli with Monday Sauce and Lamb Osso Buco. Both were good, but the center of the lamb was as cold so we had to send it back... When we received it a second time, the owner brought it to make sure it was okay, which it was - Steaming from every area and tasting much better. The owner was so kind and told us about how the cheesecake recipe came about that they sell as a dessert - Which was easily the best part of the meal for me... So fluffy! We plan on coming back to try the pizza. Would recommend for anyone looking to try a new italian restaurant in the area!"
"Very cute restaurant with great drinks, incredible food. Good location with ample street parking, too. We had a group of 6 and the service was fast, food came out hot & altogether and the pasta was to die for. I personally had the veal agnolotti pasta special - and if you’re there while they have this… you HAVE to get it. This is one of the BEST pastas I have EVER had in my life. Veal Agnolotti - 5⭐️ (x2 lol) Cavatelli - 4⭐️ Gnocchi - 3⭐️ - personally was not a fan of the texture of this gnocchi but the flavor was great with the short rib. Swordfish - 3.5⭐️ Margarita Pizza - 4⭐️ - crust was incredible! Octopus special - 5⭐️ - the flavor layers on this was incredible, balanced well with the bed of chickpeas and sauce, too."
"First time here. Has been on our list for a while. Heard good things about it and we were not disappointed. Street parking can be an issue, but we found a spot a block away. We had made reservations and got seated right away. Friendly host and waitstaff. Our waiter Paul did a great job with explaining the menu and shared his recommendations. The food was very good. We ordered the artichoke appetizer, chicken parmigiana, and the special lamb shank. The food and drinks took the right amount of time to get to us (not to fast or slow). Very good preparation and flavor. The sauce on the braised Lamb Shank was extremely good. Chicken Parmigiana was one of the best we have had. My only suggestions; the artichoke came with four pieces of bread. A couple of extra would have been nice (there was a lot of artichoke). And both entrees temperature could have been hotter. We will definitely put this on the "dine again" list. :)"
