"This review has been a long time coming. March 2022 we ordered and we got a full refund in Oct 2022. If I hadn't been ABSOLUTELY insistent in every interaction with the sales people at Western that I wanted painted wood cabinets, we would have had No recourse. Always put things in writing! This email covers most of the issues. But basically the sales people at Western State Cabinets told us that we were getting solid wood kitchen cabinets from Dura Supreme and the doors and the door frames as well as any moldings were MDF. So if anything got dinged its like cardboard instead of wood. There is no way to sand and touchup paint to repair. It was a crazy experience and very expensive and emotional which is why it took so long for me to leave a review. Here is the email I sent and then received full refund; Debra Dave and I have examined the rest of this cabinet order and we have been defrauded. We expressly ordered Solid wood cabinets. There are numerous emails and confirmations from March and going forward both in writing as well as verbally. When Dave was writing the check, March 21st 2022 at exactly 1:02pm, he clarified "these cabinets are solid wood, correct?" He was told, verbatim, by you, Debra, as well as Mark at Western State Cabinets that "The only mdf is in the center panel of doors, the frames of drawers are solid wood. Not drawer fronts, they are solid wood . It's there in the center panel because it doesn't expand or contract like solid wood or plywood. Since it is painted if it expands you will see cracks or if it shrinks" At that point, Dave accepted the change in our order that ONLY the center panel was the only mdf in the order. Since then we have discovered that (other than the plywood boxes,) the entire order is some type of pressboard. The baseboard is also mdf and that is unacceptable to us. ****We want to return this Entire order for a full refund! Or we want the correct Doors and Drawer fronts as well as baseboard in solid wood. Not MDF, HDF OR Plywood. The Entire Door Frames as well as the center panels are pressboard. The drawer fronts are pressboard. The baseboards are pressboard and we were told we were purchasing solid wood cabinetry for over $35,000. This is Consumer Fraud. California has Civil Code 1770 that states, in part, that Representing that goods or services are of a particular quality or grade if they are of another, Is CONSIDERED FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES. In addition to these materials being misrepresented, the 26"x12" pantry has numerous manufacturing flaws that Dura Supreme rep Marie is refusing to address. *****We need a new cabinet built with proper quality to replace this one. #1. That includes a rough surface and not enough paint on exposed back. #2. A separation in the frame at a joint that is poor quality workmanship. #3. Dings and dents that have obviously been poorly touched up on exposed side inset frame of cabinet. These dents are very visible in kitchen and the frame of the box is already separating even though cabinets are brand new. Mark stated on Oct 13, 2022 that it's "industry standard" that inset drawer fronts are made of HDF panels and you can't get a Lifetime Warranty if it's solid wood. Dave was very polite, but upon researching Dura Supreme and other manufacturers, All of the cabinet manufacturers that offer inset cabinetry and stained wood options have solid wood drawers and doors. It was a ludicrous statement and really pointed out to us the level of dishonesty and fraudulent business practices that we feel we are dealing with from Western State Cabinets."

"Nothing Short of Incredible! Several months after leaving our Florida home for San Diego, we finally found our forever home and will be closing soon. The home had been totally remodeled and for the most part very nicely done. The kitchen, while having high quality cabinets, appliances and appearance, the layout is essentially unusable.
