"Taboun was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. I had the falafel bowl for lunch and it was excellent. Freshly made and super tasty. Family owned and run with super friendly service. I hope to be back next time I'm in San Francisco."
"Wonderful authentic mediterranean...! The food was very, very fresh and flavorful. Portion sizes were perfect. Pricing was very reasonable. The husband and wife team were very gracious and kind. We will most definitely will return. Grateful for such a delicious lunch."
"They make delicious food and the service is outstanding. They are super friendly and highly responsive to customer needs. We have been getting food there several times a month for years. It is super tasty and fresh. The pita bread is the best I've ever had and I'm not even a fan of pita bread. The babaganoush is always in our orders, as it is perfectly roasted and flavorful. Highly recommend Taboun and will continue to go back regularly!"
"I walked into this quiet spot for lunch after a long morning at the hospital. I was happy to see they had Chicken Shawarma on the menu. The restaurant was quiet around 2 PM, and I could see the meat cooking behind the counter. I was excited to taste it! I ordered the Shawarma with a fizzy mineral water. The chicken wasn't as tasty as I hoped, though. It needed more seasoning, and didn't have the strong flavors I expected from Shawarma. On the bright side, it wasn't tough, and there were lots of fresh veggies in the wrap like cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. There were also some pickles which added a nice tang. But for $14, I was expecting a lot more flavor. It's a bit too much money for a meal that didn't wow me. I don't think I'd go back for the Chicken Shawarma. The place was nice, and the service was fast, but the food just didn't match up to the price."
"Inflation is real. For the size smaller than regular burrito, the dolma wrap I got has more bread wrap than filing. Also, the cashier made me uncomfortable when it comes to signing my payment (debit card) by pointing out that I have to select tips first before I can sign. I order the food to go and yet I’m obligated to leave tips to the already expensive price tag. I work mostly from home and today, I’m working onsite and I decided to get lunch from Taboun. I would be happy to give gold tips for when I’m actually sitting and dining in. But to ho? Definitely wouldn’t come here again. I can buy the bread wrap from the market for cheap if I want to just eat flat bread. They also charged a fee for paying with debit card.$15.21 is way overpriced. Definitely regretted coming here. There’s Carmelina right across from the hospital and the food and prices are far more decent."
