Reviews of Village Inn
"My wife and I went there with friends for supper. The service was great. The food was very good. This isn't a fancy place but the service and the food more than make up for that. We had a relaxing dinner and evening. I totally recommend."
"The Food & Service At Village Inn Restaurant Is Always Excellent, I Hope They Stay Open For A Long Time Yet, ThankYou Sincerely Hollie ☆☆☆☆☆"
"Do NOT let them sit you anywhere near the door. They have tables right near the door in a sit down restaurant. They do not lock the doors so people literally come in and let the freezing cold breeze zing past you. Let alone they walk right into your bubble zone. Stupidest thing ever to not lock the door. They don’t have any music playing and a telephone that is as loud as it gets that goes off every other minute it seems. Place needs desperately to be remodeled / updated and the restrooms are no better. Only good thing about the place is the food as their fish fry and salad bar are on point, but if you are seated by the dam door your food gets cold fast due to the use of that door and the cold air it brings. Everyone near that door could not believe they let people use it as it’s about as rude as it gets for a paying customer to deal with. If you are sooo concerned that OLD customers can’t get up the other steps then maybe fix the issue instead of making the restaurant sitting area the main access point for them. If you’re not going to fix the issues then DONT put tables right by a door they use especially during cold temperatures."
"This place is a must go for Friday fish and It's a perfect example of a hometown restaurant. I'll start with the salad bar. It had a great selection of homemade potato salad, pea salad, coleslaw and what looked like sauerkraut. I didn't try the kraut but the 3 salads were absolutely delicious! There also was a crockpot of pork and beans that I didn't try and homemade garlic bread that was amazing as well. It also had the 2 packs of little bread sticks that I used to LOVE as a kid, ya don't see those to often anymore. You can get a 3 or 5 piece fish meal that includes choice of potato and the amazing salad bar. You can chose between battered or broiled. My wife had broiled and I had battered, both were excellent! The batter is light and crispy and the fish was flaky and delicious. You won't even believe how low the price of either meal is. You definitely should call for a reservation and know you may still have a bit of a wait, we made a reservation for 430, when we left around 515 people calling were told they were 30 minutes out. They still take calls on a corded phone that is loud and rings alot haha. This place is blast from the past that you just don't see anymore!"
"Brian and Ann have always done a fantastic job with their restaurant and always provide a great dinner. We stop on Friday nights and have their fish dinner and it is always great food! They have a bar with great drinks and the dinner comes with a side and their salad bar which has a great selection of food items. If you haven’t been here, you need to stop and try their food."
