"Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I had a medium rare t-bone (prepared and seasoned perfectly), lyonnaised hash browns (superb), delicious house salad, and chocolate cream pie for dessert. The portions were more than we could eat. Service was fantastic, spot on and filled our water many times as we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and company. The Old fashioned at the bar was delicious! Will definitely recommend and visit again! Thank you for a great New Year's Eve dinner. And they had a band! Glad to have a good old fashioned supper club again!"
"We sat in the bar area as we have in the past with the previous owner. First thing we noticed was it was cold and they weren’t using the beautiful fireplace for heat or the atmosphere. The wait staff didn’t know what they were doing and a lot of confusion as to who was going to wait on us. The Brandy Old Fashions were terrible!! Couldn’t taste any alcohol or bitters. It was all cherry juice. We ordered a Brandy Old Fashion, not a Kitty Cocktail. This is a Wisconsin supper club and you don’t know how to make a Brandy Old Fashion. Shame on you. My wife ordered a 2 piece chicken and I ordered a 8 oz Sirloin. We ordered Ellsworth Cheese Curds as an appetizer and had to remind the waitress that we ordered them. She said the kitchen messed up the order and brought them out much later. After getting the cheese curds, we wished we wouldn’t had. All of the larger curds were still cold on the inside. YUCK!! We usually enjoy 2 or 3 Old Fashions but not tonight. We quickly changed to bottled beer. Figured they couldn’t mess that up. Sitting waiting for our entrees to come and bartender/co-owner asked what we ordered and we told him. He said they were serving a group of 6 and ours was next. They weren’t even that busy!! We finally got our food. Again, my wife got chicken and I got a steak. Both meals had a roll that was very hard and hash browns that were underdone and not crispy. Speaking of underdone, my wife’s chicken breast was raw on the inside!! GROSS!! Flagged down waitress and she agreed and was very apologetic rightly so. She asked if my wife wanted something else and she said definitely not because she was grossed out. The ONLY good thing was my steak. After the waitress came back to say there was no charge for the chicken, the bartender/co-owner came out and was apologetic. We just asked them to give use our check so we could leave. The bartender/co-owner met us on our way out and tried to give me free drink tickets. I told him I didn’t want them and to give to my wife. She took them and will give them away as we will NEVER go back!!"
"Went there Friday 10/13/2023. Waitstaff knew nothing, except one gal. She had to answer all the questions of the others. Our waitress "spaced out" her words, not mine, forgot almost everything she needed to do, had to be reminded. Stood by our table to ask if we wanted anything very loudly ( interrupting our conversations several times), instead of looking and filing our drinks for example. Then proceeded to double bill us for our drinks of soda and coffee. Another one said if they had liquor then it was OK to double bill us, after I explained we had soda's and coffee, no alcohol. What's more is our "vegetable" was baked beans straight from the can. My first baked potato was so hard it could not be squeezed. The second was brown inside, black on the outside...overcooked. Would not go back, the staff were not trained, which is a management problem. Not a good start. The website said they had a salad bar, they don't have one."
"Called at 4pm to make a reservation for 5 adults and 5 kids. They said they would have a table ready for us at 5:30. Once we were seated (very fast, table was waiting), we waited 10+ minutes for anyone to ask us for our drinks. 15 minutes after ordering our drinks (3 beers + 2 sodas) we had to go to the bar and get them ourselves. After 30 minutes of waiting our orders were taken by the, at this point, friendly waitstaff. The dining room had 15 tables and only 7 we sat at this time. The place started to fill up and they seemed to have forgotten about us. They never came back to the table after the 30 min point. We finally asked them at 6:45 what was happening with our order. All we got were excuses. They refused to give us any indication of when the food would be ready. I finally had to tell them I didn’t really mind what happened and wasn’t looking for a “why,” just a “when.” I simply had to state that if the food wasn’t ready in 5 minutes that we had to leave with our sleepy kids. I didn’t mind waiting an hour and a half plus for food, but I didn’t anticipate that with the kids, especially because we called them an hour before we got there. It seemed like these owners had never run a restaurant before. It would probably be a decent place if it’s just 2 of you, but anymore than that and I think this place lacks the competency to get food to your table."
"We started out with a couple White Russians at the bar. They were excellent. And the supper club feel was totally evident. A beautiful classic bar and a warm wood fireplace! We both had a ribeye, med. rare - prepared perfectly. Everything was exquisite, from the salad, steak, and lyonnaise potatoes. Absolutely a classic Wisconsin supper club. We will be back as regulars!"
